File Destined Free Download GAMESPACK.NET Solving a high-profile murder case would be demanding at the best of times, but all the more so when you need to do it while skulking around in the dark with potential dangers lurking in every shadow. But that’s the job, at least for the protagonist of Metavision Studio’s newly released File Destined. You are assigned to investigate “one of the most closely watched murder cases of the country,” so you’ll need to search for evidence, gather clues, and try to piece together the mystery from what you discover. However, this is no ordinary case, so you’d best prepare to “encounter unexpected dangers when least expected.” What’s more, the deeper you dig, the more you’ll come to wonder if this case stands alone or if it’s really just a “small part of a bigger picture.” Either way, you’ll want to take your time thoroughly scouring the environments, as “each thing you find might lead you to the truth you are seeking,” though not so much time that you run out of light. Bad things could happen to you in the dark. TOP/BEST ADULT VIDEO GAMES IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA).

I actually liked swiping down on the mouse wheel to flick my lighter on, kind of a neat mechanic to imitate the real thing, but I didn’t like that half the time my input was ignored. I also liked the lockpicking, it was simple but worked well. The textures look nice, but the animations don’t match their quality and you’ll sigh as you see the model for ‘insect_01’ dragged across the floor, unflinching as it zips by. The voice acting starts serviceable then slid down in quality as the game went on (‘madness’ was supposed to be more rampant yet was not delivered) and you’ll hear lines loop pretty often: “The lighter’s running out of gas,” well so am I, brother.

File Destined is full of the “classic” lousy jumpscares that seemingly every indie horror game is required to have and your time with it is tension-free as there is no way to fail. The biggest failure you can achieve is running out of lighter fluid and that’s nearly impossible. It’s a walking simulator with I believe only one puzzle to solve, which was “find the three digit code using this note and this chessboard as references”. Should take you maybe thirty seconds. Most often, you’re looking for the relevant object in the area, examining it from the right angle, then walking through the newly opened door. Often you’re to walk towards the end of a hallway, press your face against a wall, then turn around and find the place has shifted. Whacky! This’ll happen far too many times. Twice you’ll be grabbed by ‘the monster’ and let go after a bonking. I think these grabs are the most frightening thing File Destined offers and despite the attempt at a jumpscare, I don’t think I could’ve cared less. Diluvian Ultra
