Yakuza Kiwami Free Download GAMESPACK.NET Like a lot of gamers, the Yakuza series is a franchise which I had heard a lot of good things about, but had never actually played. Having come across a copy of Yakuza Kiwami recently I decided to remedy that oversight. Yakuza Kiwami developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega is the 2017 remake of the original Yakuza game released for the PS2 in 2006. You play as gangster Kazuma Kiryu a soldier in the Dojima crime family of the Tojo Clan who took the rap for the murder of a senior Yakuza patriarch, a deed which was actually done by your best friend and surrogate brother Akira Nishikiyama. Kiryu has just been released after ten years of prison and is immediately thrust into a complex web of conspiracies involving the theft of ten billion yen from the Tojo Clan, the murder of its chairman and the power struggle that ensues between the various Yakuza captains. Kiryu must solve the mystery behind all of this which seems to hinge upon a secret kept by a young girl Haruka, while fending off rival gangsters, dirty cops, and the eccentricities of Goro Majima. The plot of this game can be kind of convoluted (especially at the beginning) and I confess I had to read the wiki to find out some of the details about what actually happened, but aside from that the story is told very well through excellently constructed cutscenes featuring excellent acting by the Japanese voice cast (there game is subtitles only). The characters themselves are memorable and compelling. This is especially the case with Kiryu himself, who while initially appearing to be rather two dimensional, reveals greater depth and sensitivity as the game goes on. This is especially notable in Kiryu’s relationship with Nishikiyama who plays a sort of little brother role to the protagonist; at first affectionate, but gradually growing bitter and resentful at his own perceived inadequacies and being overshadowed by Kiryu. These tensions culminate in a ferocious and emotional final fight which is easily the highlight of the game. Goro Majima, who is kind of a mascot for the whole series, really does not actually do that hat much for the plot, but is none the less so full of bizarre and goofy that charisma that every appearance of his is still a delight.
