You’ll trek across the surface of Luteus prime, a poor schmuck of a planet that was in the Orks’ sights as a brilliant resource for pinching fuel for their trukks and buggies prior to you being wronged. You’ll slam through war-torn landscapes, military barracks and even the seedy underbelly of a hive city – encountering all of the native dorks who live there and who are not happy to see you invading their space. And though they will protest, you will happily cut through them on your mission with all manner of ramshackle munitions at your disposal. The game is generous with checkpoints, and every checkpoint will allow you access to the gun store. Find Teeth (teef) within the game world, and spend them to create alternate options for each weapon slot at your disposal. You can then amend your loadout at any checkpoint should you feel you need the right tool for the job at hand. I personally found myself dropping my blistering hail of lead loadout, which was blasting bazillions of bullets at batches of bad guys, for something a bit more direct and hard hitting when I was faced with heavy armour.

The ease and accessibility was exactly what the doctor ordered once I was faced with mechanical menaces that were slapping my green bottom. If you find yourself with a surplus of teeth dollars, you can also buy some fancy hats for your brutal bonce – for a little added flair while you are blasting baddies. In true Ork fashion I managed to drop my very first glut of Ork cash on a fancy hat for the sake of looking neat-o, not realising I could have easily bought a stronger pistol. I’d call it a mistake on my part, but that really isn’t the orky way. And brilliantly, the game has a great variety of bullet-hungry dipsticks waiting around every corner. Each level and biome will have its own native variety of denizens to oppose you, and at some point you may even encounter areas where these losers are actually locked in conflict with an opposing faction, where you can breeze through as an unhinged third wheel with zero regard for their particular squabble. There are four classes to choose from and each of them can use five weapons as well as a close-quarters attack and explosives. The Orkz of the universe are known for throwing numbers as enemies to win but in this game, one determined Ork can push through huge numbers of his own race, as well as Guardsmen, genestealers, and more. Boss battles are another high point, with clever designs that test a gamer’s skills without constantly escalating frustration levels. My Ork took down a Baneblade in a two-phase fight after three tries and I rarely felt more invested in the Warhammer universe. Shootas, Blood & Teef understands the genre it is working in and how to make everything feel fun and fast. The game features allow players to cooperatively tackle the campaign, either locally or via the Internet, with the most fun happening when all four classes are in play. There’s also a player-versus-player action available. Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef might not aim to deliver the most detailed look yet at a genestealer but it does have style. The hand-drawn look and copious amounts of violence work together well. The action is fast and colorful but intelligible and I never got tired of seeing enemies splattering around. But the soundtrack is the true highlight of the presentation, filled with heavy metal that is perfectly suited to the action and the world of Warhammer. Jerez’s Arena

The Orkz might not be the brightest inhabitants of the violent far future, but they certainly have great taste in rock and composer Deon van Heerden needs to be recognized for his achievement. Shootas, Blood & Teef is full of originality, it has a very original style with hand drawings, it definitely feels quite refreshing and at the same time it suits our very original characters too well. The game does not shine for its great story, here any excuse is valid for the blood to flow, you will embody a great ork, who, betrayed by his boss, who stole his beautiful hair (note the sarcasm), embarks on a journey full of of revenge and recovery. Everyone will be your enemy in this adventure, no matter if they are your own kind. When you get into the adventure you will become familiar with the concepts that are quite original, typical of the saga. The game mode is too simple, this review was done on PC, so aiming at enemies is super easy, with the mouse, pressing the left click you start shooting.

Each of these classes has a special ability and a passive ability. That they will be useful in certain circumstances. The action in this game I can say is fast, frenetic and bloody. As your Ork progresses through the level, groups of Gretchin and Ork Boys will attack from all directions. Aiming your shoota at a 360 degree angle. You can certainly feel the DNA of Guns, Gore and Cannoli here. The gameplay is challenging, I would say a game that tests your pulse and ability to react. Smashing the heads and arms of incoming Orks, turning them to sausage in the process, is repeatedly entertaining. And that’s not all Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef is perfectly enjoyable to play in multiplayer mode. You can play it in cooperative mode locally. This for me is the best of the game, since there is nothing more fun than killing the entire population that surrounds you

With a companion who enjoys it as much or more than you. As you progress through the levels in the game, the action becomes more frenetic, the enemies more constant, the weapons more advanced, the soundtrack heavier. The game is definitely evolving. Which I think is great. It also has a versus mode, through which you can face your friends locally, this seemed quite interesting to me, since it represents an extra challenge, when you are already tired of destroying the CPUs. At a graphic and performance level, I can say that the game runs extremely well. The drawings are delicately drawn, my unlimited FPS meter stayed constantly above 60, reaching up to 200FPS at times. The voices and the most phenomenal soundtrack definitely add that touch of originality that every game needs. Above all the dubbing of voices, it is highly original. Complaints? I can complain about two things, load times much longer than I would have liked and the scenarios, there comes a time where I felt a bit repetitive.
