The Origin Blind Mai Free Download GAMESPACK.NET It’s a genre that big studios don’t like to touch. At least not in recent years. You see, you can’t have mass appeal if your game or film is genuinely too scary. And so it’s left up to aspiring directors and independent game developers to serve up spooks and scares. The problem is, it rarely turns out well. The Origin: Blind Maid, now available on consoles after a stint on PC, is the latest example. In The Origin: Blind Maid, you take on the role of a corrupt politician fleeing from justice. But unfortunately for him, he’s unknowingly stopped his car in an area steeped in dark legends. What follows is a horrifying ordeal, but for all the wrong reasons. Simply put, while The Origin: Blind Maid does do a good job of creating a unsettling atmosphere, it’s the gameplay that will scare you away from playing rather than the actual horrors found within the game. Played from a first-person viewpoint (though there is a third-person option that’s apparently in testing), The Origin: Blind Maid doesn’t hold your hand. It gives you vague objectives, but with fairly open areas you can spend a lot of time aimlessly wandering around until you stumble upon what you’re supposed to do. That wouldn’t be too bad if it wasn’t for the fact that your character’s walking speed is awfully slow. And if you run, you run out of stamina in a matter of seconds. That’s just one of The Origin: Blind Maid‘s issues, though. And there are a lot of them.TOP/BEST ADULT VIDEO GAMES IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA)

There’s a sneaking system, for example, that doesn’t seem to work. Neither does the ability to dodge. Also, if you run out of bullets for the gun you’re given at the start of the game, you have zero way to defend yourself as there’s no melee option. You have to just run away and try to avoid enemies that have unlimited stamina. When it comes to enemies, they’re not all that terrifying compared to the random noises you hear while exploring. When they detect you, they just charge and lunge at you, moving in a way that makes it hard to get them in the sights of your gun. Although that’s if you can even raise your gun – there appears to be a weird glitch where you can’t in some instances, leaving you left like a sitting duck. Already, then, you should be getting a picture of how bad The Origin: Blind Maid is. And when you also add in subtitles that don’t always match up with the dialogue, and fiddly menus and controls in general, it should be clear that this is a game to be avoided. Even neat ideas such as a crafting system and character upgrades can’t save it. So, unless you’re a glutton for punishment, it’s wise to steer clear of The Origin: Blind Maid. It looks and plays like an early access game. Its hodgepodge of ideas and mechanics sound good on paper but they have been implemented so poorly that there’s nothing redeeming about the end result. Ultimately, the scariest thing about The Origin: Blind Maid is the idea of playing it. And I’m not sure that was what developer Waraní Studios was aiming for.

First Person Shooter.

When you’re an indie developer, there’s a fine line you need to walk on regarding trying to achieve an ambitious vision. You want to deliver something new, something that takes elements from your sources of inspiration to make a completely unique title, but you need to take into account that you’re probably inexperienced, you have a small team (with a small or nonexistent QA department), and a really low budget. You can’t over-promise, or else your game will suffer from a lack of polish. Let’s analyze this common mistake in the indie scene with the latest horror title to show up on the PS4, The Origin: Blind Maid. When I first heard of The Origin: Blind Maid, I was impressed, especially with its setting. This is a modern horror game taking place in Paraguay, near the border with Brazil. You play as a corrupt politician with a dark past, running away from office duty in order to avoid prison time. As a resident of South America, I was hooked from the get-go. Despite the simplistic presentation, The Origin: Blind Maid immediately impressed me with some great voice acting, which felt so much better than the rest of game, to the point of correcting spelling and grammar mistakes present in its subtitles. The game itself is a first-person survival horror borrowing elements from lots of bigger fish in the market: Outlast, Silent Hill, Resident Evil VII, Bloober’s first-person horror outings.Gears Tactics

You start out in the middle of a swamp, trying to find a tool to open the door of your locked (and bulletproof, adding more realism to the South American setting) vehicle. After being chased by a lunatic, you have to explore a somewhat large environment with little to no hand-holding. While I appreciate the freedom of exploration I was given, the game did a terrible job of properly telling me where to go and what to do. I had to resort to an online walkthrough of the PC version, released last year, in order to figure out what the hell I was supposed to do. It doesn’t help that the environment is pitch black and repetitive, which hinders the few good things the graphical department has to offer, namely the excellent framerate (locked 60fps) and some high quality textures. I resorted to playing the game via a small map prompt, in a quasi-Metal Gear fashion, as trying to figure out what was in front of me was easier said than done. To make matters worse, there’s the combat, as well as some chase sections. Fighting monsters is simple, but annoying. You have a gun and really simplistic FPS mechanics. You’re supposed to aim for the beasts’ head, but they keep hopping around like frogs on cocaine. You have scarce ammo, so not wasting these monsters with one pop feels like a borderline soft lock, as stealth works poorly on them. Running away from them is terrible for a couple of reasons: your atrocious stamina and the fact they will chase after you no matter what.

Improve your skills.

These are the moments where the game also loves to glitch on you, especially if you’re trying to open a locked door with a recently acquired key. I had to resort to previous checkpoint states more than once due to this issue, as the game would pretty much lock on me, giving me no means to proceed. That is the main issue I had with The Origin: Blind Maid. It’s just too glitchy. It’s too amateurishly unpolished. I can’t even say the game suffered from a rushed development cycle, given how this is a mere port of a title originally released for PC a while ago. It could (and should) have received fixes to deal with its many issue. I lost count of the amount of times its terrible pause menu UI would simply stop working, not letting me access menus and my inventory. Eventually I lost count of the amount of times the game froze on me after resuming play after closing any random menu screen. I get the hindrances of indie development, but The Origin: Blind Maid suffers from an insufferable amount of issues that were basically ignored. I’m a pretty patient person in this regard, wanting to give these games a chance, but when the game itself doesn’t want me to play it properly, there’s little I can do about it. I gave up. I had to. Even though its story was halfway intriguing, especially when supernatural crap started taking over the narrative, I was more concerned with dealing with the myriad of technical issues ruining my immersion every five minutes or so.Hurtworld

The Origin: Blind Maid is further proof that having great ideas for a game is just 50% of what makes it a banger. If you can’t deliver on your vision, all you’ll have to offer is a disappoint game that will reek of “what could have been”. The ideas are there, the ambition is laudable, but the execution left much to be desired. I really wanted to like this game for its setting, unique ideas, and the origin of its studio, but I gave up eventually. It is so glitchy, so full of game breaking issues, I just couldn’t muster enough patience after a while. Uncovering ‘terrifying myths and legends of universal folklore’, The Origin Blind Maid you actually play a corrupt politician on the run (is there any other kind?). During this escape, he comes across a supernatural entity with a tragic past that is explored over five chapters. The game is essentially a crime story with supernatural elements located in Gran Chaco. But don’t expect to sit back and absorb the narrative as it seems that every moment will be a fight for your life. Decades after the happenings that created THE ORIGIN, a corrupt politician fled from justice, refuges himself in an inhospitable region full of terrible legends. His assistant runs away from him holding the key from the car that the politician needs to leave the place. During his search, he will fase space and time, being forced to come back to the past and fase The Origin of the Blind Maid while he tries to redeem himself.

Crafting.

Use your weapons only when it is absolutely necessary, ammunition is very scarce. Fight only when you have no choice and run away when possible, this is the only way you will be able to resist until the end. Despite of what I’ve said before, there are moments where the visuals are bad, making an stange contrast between moments where the game looks very nice and moments where the game seems to be a little bit “rushed” (as there are some 3D models that look “simple” in comparison with other ones and things like that). The gameplay mechanics are interesting, YES, but the controls could feel better if they keep polishing them as for example I have a controller connected to my pc and the game only shows the gamepad controls on the inventory when I’m using a keyboard and mouse to play, this will probably be fixed soon, but as I’ve mentioned, it leaves room for the controls to be improved. It’s easy to get lost (especially at the beginning) as you have a map, that can feel misleading as it doesn’t show if there are objects that won’t let you pass or some structures (that’s something that made me get confused when trying to escape from the “first enemy”). This could be a design choice, but as a personal opinion I would prefer if it showed those elements. The combat system could be quite good, but to me it looks like they wanted to implement a lot of elements but without being completly able to combine them correctly.

(I hope that in future fixes they polish this as after “day one fixes” they started heading twoards that) Bugs, and glitches, (watch my video below), there are some (the bigger ones seem to have been solved after the “day one fixes”), I can see icons of pickeable objects through a wall without being in front of them at all/having visual contact with them (for exemple). The FOV of the game is quite low and nonregulable, probably there’s people that can play the game perfectly despite of that, but at least in my case having such a low FOV can be confusing and even give me a little bit of motion sickness. There some other small details that could be polished (when you get into the inventory/evade an attack with the map “turned on” the game “turns it off” and then you need to “turn it on” again, if it worked independently and stayed “on” when doing those actions I think that the “gameplay flow” would be a little bit better), but nothing that important and probably some of those deatils and some parts of what I’ve said before are still “updateable”. Maybe the game improves a lot in the future, but this hasn’t been released as an “Early Access” and I’m updating this review after “day one fixes” (which has solve some of the biger problems of the game) because I felt that the previous version of the review was a little bit out of tone as I wrote it without expecting to see a “day one patch”.

I definitively could have been more soft on this review if the game had been released as an “Early Acces”. I actually think that there are good ideas on this game but I can not recomend it at it’s current state, but maybe in the near future (hopefully) I would be able to recomend it The game is pretty interesting, it has good ideas, some strong points…but it also has some weak points (as I’ve mentioned) that can separate the player from what the game has to offer. I would recommend it if it was an “Early Access” as that’s an state that could better reflect the state of the game. Moreover, I would like to add that if you think that the things I’ve mentioned are not that important to you, you might have a nice experience out of this game for it’s price Sometimes you will have to deal with the abrupt changes of environment that The Origin is able to create to disturb your mind. Be careful when turning every  You will have the opportunity to redeem or condemn your character to unlock the different endings. Continue playing in search of the different endings as you keep the acquired skills. Use the protagonist’s earphone (almost deaf in one ear) to hear voices and sounds from the afterlife and use them to your advantage. Solving puzzles will be an important part of the action, some will be truly complex but intuitive. A real challenge for the players.MMORPG Tycoon 2
