Call of Duty Black Ops Free Download GAMESPACK.NET Call of Duty is the Goliath of the video game world. The series has sold millions of copies and catapulted itself from a solid, World War II shooter to the sprawling multiplayer playground and Hollywood-style campaign that we know today. Call of Duty: Black Ops takes much of what made Modern Warfare 2 great and slightly expands and modifies it. That’s not to say that there aren’t mistakes to be found within Black Ops, but I think Call of Duty fans are going to be happy with Treyarch’s latest effort. You begin the game as Alex Mason, a soldier being interrogated for information that he can’t remember. You play through Mason’s memories in search for information. Sam Worthington, Ed Harris, and Gary Oldman deliver expert performances and really nail their respective characters. There are twists, some of which work better than others, and the plot seems to get bogged down and slightly disjointed towards the middle. But unlike Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops does a wonderful job of cleaning everything up for the finale. Black Ops is not just a linear game, but sometimes feels like it’s on autopilot. Just one example is when you “guide” the takeoff of an SR-71 Blackbird.TOP/BEST ADULT VIDEO GAMES IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA)

I tried to not pull back on the flight stick when the game told me to, just to see if there was any other alternative to taking off, but the Blackbird lifted off on its own. The artificial intelligence of both your friendly soldiers and the enemies you face is pretty poor. Both friendly and enemy soldiers behave like fools for most of the campaign. I once watched a friendly shoot the back of an armored car that he was using for cover for a solid 20 seconds. There are also a few design flaws and annoyances, not least of all was a game-ending bug in the first level that made me restart the entire mission. No one else in the office ran into that one, but everyone who’d played Black Ops has run into a major design issue at the Battle of Khe Sanh. The mission never tells you what to actually do and even misdirects you. Despite these issues, I really enjoyed the story that the campaign presents and I think it’s the best of the series. The characters are well-crafted and the plot rarely disappoints. Of course, most gamers are more interested in the multiplayer. Call of Duty: Black Ops largely succeeds, presenting a similar (but not identical) set of modes as Modern Warfare 2.

Black Ops is a more focused effort, and there will inevitably be those who miss a few of the omitted modes. But you will get some of the playlists later added to Modern Warfare 2, including the Killstreak-free Barebones list. Black Ops makes its most significant departure from Modern Warfare 2 by adding CoD Points. Earning experience points and leveling up now handles macro stuff like unlocking more custom class slots, Create-A-Class, new modes to play, and the availability of certain weapons and bonuses for “purchase.” Everything else (weapons, perks, killstreak bonuses, emblems, different colors for your targeting reticule) is bought with CoD Points. The system itself is overwhelming at first, especially if you’re totally new to Call of Duty, but once you get your head around the CoD Points mechanic it’s actually pretty cool. When you level up you’re handed 1,000 CoD Points that you can spend on whatever you please. It basically allows you to sculpt your style of play however you’d like. The only catch is that once you buy a weapon, perk, or killstreak, there’s no going back. In other words, you’d better be damn sure you want that sniper rifle before taking the plunge.Resident Evil 2

This de-emphasizes what made Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer so much fun; the leveling itself. The new Wager Match modes are designed to highlight the importance of CoD Points and they’re fun in their own right, but nothing ever reaches the level of enjoyment I had with the traditional leveling mechanic. We’ve talked at length about the specifics of each Wager Match mode. Just know that One in the Chamber and Gun Game are highlights. The first is a lesson in patience and accuracy and the second gives you a guided tour of 20 of Black Ops’ armaments with each kill earning you a new gun. Standard modes including Team Deathmatch, Domination and Headquarters are still there and are great for leveling up and if you do hit Level 50, Prestige Mode is there with some extra challenges to make it worthwhile. I would have preferred if the new features added to the pre-existing level of fun, rather than pushing what everyone loves to the back burner, but Wager Match is definitely the focus.Treyarch in my opinion shouldn’t be put underneath Ininity Ward.

Cinematic Single Player Campaign.

I love MW, but Treyarch just keeps on brining brilliance to it’s games. This is game makes it their time now. Their time to show everybody that their games aren’t just some appetizers to MW. First lets talk about the singleplayer. The controls are the same, but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The story is without a doubt well written. It takes place during the Cold War and Vietnam times. It is a story covered in mystery. You want answers just as much as the characters do. The story takes place in an interrogation room. Your character is being ordered to decode a group of numbers, and find out what they mean. From there it’s a trip down memory lane as you go into flashbacks that tell out what led you to this predicament. It’s a great story, but what I liked most about the story was the character Reznov. Reznov is a character from World at War that you meet in a prison from there he is pretty much your best friend. You feel for his character, and when the twist about the character was made at the end I was simply shocked. As for the rest of the characters I think they did a great job. Also voice acting is great. Although Gary Oldman as Reznov is my favorite.OMSI 2

Now lets talk about presentation. The graphics, sound editing, and music are all simply top notch stuff. One thing I loved about World at War was the violence. The violence in this game shows how MW2 are a little squeamish. Sure they killed an airport of civilians, but did you blow their limbs off in that game. It’s that time of the year again. November is officially designated Call of Duty month. It’s the reason why this time of the year no longer has a huge saturation of top-quality games, as publishers scrabble to steer clear of Activision’s almighty entertainment behemoth. With its power to completely empty launch calendars, Call of Duty: Black Ops sees Treyarch taking the reins from Infinity Ward for another crack at the whip. With Infinity Ward on its knees at the moment, has the “lesser” studio stepped out from the shadows to seize the series as its own? We’ll probably need a videogame review to answer such a burning question! Black Ops finally sees Treyarch leave behind the ever-popular environment of World War II and embrace the slightly more modern era of the Cold War and Vietnam. Taking place throughout the 1960s.

Wager Matches.

the latest Call of Duty boasts what is perhaps the most comprehensively structured, story-focused narrative that the series has ever had. In fact, I’ll go one step further and say this — Black Ops boasts the best single-player campaign that the series has ever had. From its genuinely intriguing plot, full of dark twists and historical cameos, to the endless set pieces that throw the player from one ludicrously action-packed scenario to the next, Call of Duty: Black Ops is the game with which Treyarch has finally put its definitive stamp on the series, and even eclipsed Infinity Ward in terms of in-game narrative and memorable moments. Much praise must also be had for the variety of gameplay. Not only is there plenty of traditional FPS action, but a number of vehicular sections are liberally spread throughout the game, and all of them are surprisingly fun. Expect to pilot helicopters, boats, motorcycles and more throughout the course of the game, and expect to be excited while doing so. Even the pedestrian sections are spiced with variety, with guns that differ not just in model, but in modifications.

Throughout each level, you’ll come across guns with scopes, guns with extended mags, and guns with shotgun, grenade and even flamethrower attachments. Each gun feels powerful and heavy, with shotguns especially packing a punch. Throw in a new bunch of incredibly vicious melee kills, and you’ve got a brutal game that should please even the most blood-starved gamer. The campaign pretty much does everything right. The grenade spam that plagued World at War has been annihilated, while the level designs feel inspired and heartfelt, and sometimes horrific (the section involving a certain gas attack is especially intense). Truly a magnificent single-player experience that manages to tell more in its one story than the Modern Warfare series has done with two. Unfortunately, the quality of the single-player campaign has not been matched in the multiplayer mode, at least on PC. While you can tell that there is a very well-built, solid multiplayer experience at its core, the game is almost impossible to enjoy due to intense lag, server connection errors, and matchmaking issues.

These aren’t just annoying bugs — these are issues that render the game damn near unplayable. Even when it “works,” Black Ops still stutters tremendously, and should you venture online, you best be prepared to eat several deaths simply due to the game’s issues, all the while reading in-game chat complaints about how laggy everything is. For a Call of Duty game, having a poor multiplayer mode is unforgivable, due to the relative brevity of the single-player campaign, and with a multiplayer this poor, Black Ops becomes a total let-down. I’d love to focus this review on the interesting “COD Points” system that allows you to spend in-game currency on unlocking Perks and equipment in whatever order you choose. I’d love to talk about how balanced the gameplay is and how cool the maps are. Unfortunately, after getting a “connection error” message the very second I began a last-ditch effort to fight through the problems, I’ve officially given up trying to suffer it. The frustrating part is that from what I have played of the multiplayer, I can see piles of potential fun. I’ve loved Call of Duty‘s multiplayer for many years, and this looks to be as good as any other, with a few extra unique twists and fun Kill Streaks. Unfortunately, it’s not fun right now. Not at all. Ravenfield
