Exploring is fundamental to the gaming experience, because it not only makes us discover new areas, but allows us to scan more objects, simultaneously advancing our technological tree (scans earn research points). At the beginning we can only extract materials from some plants, but already with the firsThe Diablo- style shot and the map with all the resources indicated help a lot to manage Quinn and her needs, because they give a broader view of the area we are in, allowing us to easily identify the resources present. As a good survivalist, Beyond Contact is a continuous gathering of resources and building new devices, when we are not required to reach the new objective of the main story.

Survival gameplay.

With the loop that is only interrupted by some simple mission, usually of the type you go from point A to point B, collect something or talk to someone and come back, and from building the actual base which, when unlocked, becomes a bit of the core of the experience. Perhaps even too much, given that defending it from constant attacks is really difficult and sometimes ends up choking the player, forcing him to act as her nurse, despite the fact that many resources have been spent to defend it.

Beyond Contact, as I said before, is a survival game, very original, formidable. This game is purely inspired by art and has a very particular and original comic style, I definitely like it. Apart from that it has this classic gameplay that we love so much from the classic games of the survival genre.  Starting with a little bit of the game’s history, I will summarize it this way: the CMU is an entity in charge of safeguarding the prosperity and security of all forms of life in the galaxy, with the aim of giving them the opportunity to grow and evolve. In this story, we follow scientist Quinn Hicks, whose job is to study extraterrestrial civilizations from the safety of a space station near the planet in question. However, everything changes when the leaders of the company Spacecorps. They request the participation of all departments in a rescue and aid mission on the planet Ketern, which is on the brink of extinction and has lost all contact with its satellite. This is a game with many aspects, but above all, exploration and discovery prevail. In Beyond Contact you will spend most of your time doing deep research, also building all kinds of things, including base defenses, developing agriculture.

Exploration.

But the game is not limited to this alone, we also have story objectives that lead us to save the inhabitants of the planet. It’s funny because we are on a planet that will do everything possible to kill you because it has enough fauna, flora and extreme weather conditions to challenge even the most hardcore survival players a thousand times over. The game offers a Campaign with a good number of hours to play, but it also gives us solo multiplayer experiences, but also in cooperative mode. Beyond Contact goes quite deep into what is the extraction of materials from the planet. Where you must extract and loot many times to survive. Like any survival game, everything is scarce, so you must know very well which tiles to play. Something I don’t like about the game is graphically, I feel that the game is a bit monotonous, like the graphics don’t stand out in any way, at least for my personal taste. At the level of sound effects and voices, I really like it, I feel that what they had planned to achieve was achieved and at all times I feel that the music and sound effects are very consistent with each moment of the game. I like the building system, it’s quite robust, but simple and allows you to build and defend your base in a very fluid way. Beyond Contact is quite an entertaining game.

Open world: The game's world will be open and procedurally generated, meaning that each playthrough will be different.

it has its weaknesses, such as the graphics, and sometimes, the simplicity of the mission, but it also has its strengths, such as a robust research and construction system, which can definitely keep many entertained. Beyond Contact is a Open World Survival Crafting game.I don’t understand why so many bad reviews on this game, it’s rock solid ! The game it’s about you being send in a rescue mission but you crash on the planet because of his gravity (what a rescue mission XD) then you have to explore and survive on this planet.

Exploration: Players will be able to explore the game's world to discover new resources, enemies, and locations.

Where the game shines the most it’s in the asthetics, very nice graphics and visuals, beside that the core of the game it’s explore get exp and research for unlock blueprints for craft matherials, same as you saw in any other crafting game, you build a base you gather ect.. The gameplay it’s fluid and there are the typical stuff for survive like oxygen, heat ect… which you can configure at the begining of the game for how dangerous can be this world. After letting the game develop a bit more after i bought it months ago, I still cannot recommend this game. The combat mechanics are not fun at all, chain aggro combined with short day and night cycles makes getting started in this game very frustrating. If you want your players to stick with a game, you have to make the progress reasonable. I am sure there will be some “get gud noob” comments, but early on, there is a quest with 2 required items that are very difficult to obtain due to chain aggro and long combat times. Hopefully, some of the mechanics will change, otherwise I won’t be back and my recommendation to pass will stand. The game looks good, and that is all good I can say about it. There are some bugs, couple of them broke my gameplay, but that is the least of concerns. Characters are silly, dialogs feel like written by a teenager.
