The opening is a long, unskippable boat ride that quickly becomes unbearable when you’re forced to repeat the level multiple times. Dying resets you to the start of the boat ride, which is frustrating and tedious. There are multiple sections in the game that are technically “out of bounds.” The player can walk into these areas because there are no invisible walls or clear boundaries, only to die and have the level restart immediately. With the tedious boat ride, there are definitely better ways to handle out-of-bounds situations. The game ends shortly after this repeated section, offering little sense of accomplishment. The game currently has only one level, making it feel extremely short and incomplete. Feels poorly optimized and unfinished—barely early-access quality, despite being presented as complete. While Tribute is visually impressive, the lack of polish, engaging gameplay, and overall content make it difficult to recommend in its current state. I’ll keep an eye on updates and happily update my review if the game improves.
