The interesting thing about the title is how the plot is carried out based on the decisions that we will make throughout the adventure. Literally every step we take can lead us to unexpected events. In fact, the objectives that we are fulfilling are not failed by not doing something, the plot must continue. For example, we must go unnoticed in an area and if the guards discover us, the game does not end and instead they will take us to prison. At first, of the three factions, we will think we are clear about which one we should follow, but as the plot progresses we will see that things are not what they seem. Leaning towards one faction or another leads us to have them as enemies or not, even the game invites us to play without engaging in any combat (except level bosses) if we know how to play our cards in conversations. A game in which its story is the cornerstone of the whole, must have interesting characters. And in that aspect it does not disappoint.

A strange planet

In The Last Oricru, decisions matter as much as sword blows  The conversations have a main role in the adventure, with extensive dialogues in which we can obtain additional information that can be useful later, to unlock secondary missions… As well as making weighty decisions that tip the balance of our affiliation towards a gang or other. And there are substantial changes from minute one: to give an example that takes place in the prologue, we can choose between joining the Naboru or the Rats , which considerably changes the characters we make friends with and the enemies we face. Not only that, but each faction dominates one of the three magical schools, which is why sometimes our decisions can be more oriented towards building a powerful character, instead of attending to plot reasons. And speaking of character building… Let’s talk combat. We also have a lot of different weapons oriented to different types of games, pieces of armor for each part of the body, shields, magical abilities, weight to take into account, attributes in which we can invest points when leveling up… And for Of course we drop all the “souls” when we die , but we can recover them if we return to the place where we fell. As you can see, follow the “soulslike” manual without skipping a single rule. The problem is that the action suffers from a significant lack of solidity. The animations of all the movements are quite poor and we miss the sensation of impact in the blows, both when executing them and when receiving them.
