game probably won’t run on your device even if it manages to run Sonic Mania with full 60 FPS because it uses “hedgehog engine” for the menus… which i suspect is the reason why this collection needs 6/8 GB of ram and an AMD graphics card while Sonic Mania could run just fine with only 2/4 GB of ram and a DirectX-compatible graphics card. Sonic 1, 2 and 3 and the 2011 version of Sonic CD were delisted from this very site (SEGA AGES Sonic The Hedgehog and SEGA AGES Sonic The Hedgehog 2 will probably suffer the same fate sometime in the future) just so SEGA could ram this slop down your throat. this seems to be a pattern of sorts since when Sonic x Shadow Generations was released the original Sonic Generations got shoved into a bundle.

go get the RSDK decomp versions and Sonic 3 A.I.R instead, or if you managed to get the Mega Drive Classics versions of the Sonic games before they got delisted play those instead particular nitpicks (about the Plus version specifically i haven’t tried the base version during the first few minutes i got this dumpster) that i should’ve mentioned when i first wrote this review: If you buy it at the initial release price of $39.99, I wouldn’t recommend it, but now that the plus DLC has been released, you can buy this game for $10-$20 during the Steam sale. I think it’s a classic series that I highly recommend. Great animation, fairly fixed initial bugs, various convenient features, and collectibles for fans… and fun missions that stimulate the desire for challenge are reasonable in terms of difficulty and really enjoyable. However, the fact that they stopped selling the existing Mega Drive and Genesis Classics while selling this work, the alternative OST for Sonic 3 that is not as good as the original, and the occasional bugs that still occur will be factors that lower the evaluation. In conclusion, I want to give this a high rating even though I don’t have many memories of Sonic Classic. It’s a great remaster that shows the hard work of the developers who know the needs of the fans exactly.
