Initially within my first thirty minutes of play I was going to leave a negative review. If it’s an FPS where are the guns? Why do enemies take so many thrown objects to kill? Why can’t I do stealth takedowns? Then I found something, to some inconspicuous but to me a goofy scheme, the peel of a banana, I threw it at a guard’s feet, the man tripped and got stunned, executed shortly after. What if I used a bar of soap instead? The same result. Deodorant and a lighter? IED. Hack grenade and an enemy turret? A cleared room, the game gives you the tools to succeed if you’re willing to think outside the box, dance to its tune and it’ll dance to yours. You can go quietly, pickpocket keycards and fusebox codes off of enemies, or you can be a silly little guy and kill everyone in the level with your silly schemes. The choice is yours. Every level is truly an open ended sandbox. Will you be stealthy, or let the shenaniganizer take over? The presentation is also a strong point in favor of this game, the 70s sci-fi feel mixed with the style of old spy movies make for a both nostalgic and innovative blend, along with a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously. All around a good time for the price. I haven’t finished the game yet but I’d recommend Skin Deep.

Funnily enough when I did finally unlock guns they basically became my plan B because admittedly it is kinda more fun using the environment and the things in it than going john of duty. Finished it after 12h. This game is JUICY, SNAPPY, and CHUNKY. A lot of use of automatic camera focus on important bits, freeze frames and slow-mo helps you keep track of things even when chaos reigns. Nina Pasadena clambers up ledges and pops in and out of vents with the slickness of Batman. There are a LOT of systems but the game does a good job of introducing them while keeping things casual, but after the first few missions things get serious and you really DO need to start taking this cat-savior business seriously if you’re gonna win. MEMORIAPOLIS

The gameplay evolves really nicely throughout each mission. Starting off very stealth-heavy as you sneak around and learn the layout and unlock critical systems, then the middle bit where you start taking guards out and freeing cats, and culminating in a finale where you gear up and go Rambo on the reinforcement crew that gets sent in. You CAN also just steal the Ship Authority key off one of the reinforcements and slip out quietly, but I preferred the loud approach. As a treat. As for the end, it does sorta have the same problem as Quadrilateral Cowboy where it’s a fun enough campaign but then at one point it throws a properly challenging mission at you and you say “ok NOW we’re getting somewhere!” but then the game ends. I guess they wanna finish these games off with a big challenging mission where the training wheels come off and you gotta use everything you’ve learned so far, but the problem with that is that it feels like you’re getting a glimpse of what COULD have been!
