Fion joined Viola’s team after an attempted robbery went awry. Viola caught Fion and punished her accordingly – much to Fion’s chagrin. Though their relationship got off to a rocky start, Fion has grown rather fond of Viola. A cheerful and good-natured young woman, despite her years spent living on the streets, Fion is deft and wily, and a useful ally in any fight. Alright, something has to be said about this. I’m giving MMO 3 a positive rating because at the end of the day I do actually think it’s worth the $8 (Disclaimer: I’ve not yet finished reading the whole story, 2 hours in at time of writing). But I’m curious how others still following the Sakura series feel about Inma’s art. Personally, I don’t really want to buy another game with her art at all. She is a good artist, obviously. But I seriously can’t understand why you would commission someone with her particular “limitations” (Winged Cloud and fans playing these games know what “limitations” I’m talking about) to work on adult ecchi games. On top of that, I saw on Inma’s social media that she doesn’t even follow yuri, has one “ship” supposedly that I never see her draw (MadoHomu), doesn’t watch actual yuri anime, and overall doesn’t seem to know/care about the genre. Why would I want someone like that drawing for a yuri game? Wanaca is clearly better at and more comfortable with it, and that makes the games with Wanaca’s art way more enticing and fun to play. This is the only issue I had with the game, but it’s big enough that I’m saying I don’t think I’ll buy another yuri-themed game with Inma’s art. Feels like we’re getting the short end of the stick, and with all respect, I’m not ok with that. Viola has her darkling maid Neve, a thief Fion, and a knight Eleri who are part of her harem of cute girls she took in to stay with her at her castle and fellow adventurers. They embark on a quest to seek out the fallen goddess Iona who threatens to destroy all of Asaph. This title of the Sakura MMO series continues to feature romance options with Neve, Fion and Eleri, yuri fan service, and has a total of 5 different endings this time. The game uses the same background music by Zack Parrish and artwork style by Inma and Fatelinealpha in the game cover, backgrounds, character sprites, CGs, Steam achievement icons, emoticons and profile backgrounds. An uncensored patch for the game which will add additional H CGs, text, and dialogue to the game can be downloaded from the developer’s Patreon page. Having played the earlier titles of the Sakura MMO series, Sakura MMO 3 has the most number of H CGs and rewarding extra scenes making them a main highlight of the game. In addition, this game retains the enjoyable comedic moments as a parody on weaboo culture with words like fufufu and kyaaa while having a Western fantasy setting and musical accompaniment, although it has a few typo errors here and there. Again, the price of this visual novel is a bit high even at a 25% discount on Steam store. It only takes around a couple of hours to read through the visual novel, get all endings, and unlock all CGs and achievements. Since this game doesn’t have voice acting, the game could deliver more value by expanding on Viola’s exploits as her adventuring party seek Iona and encounter a character from Winged Cloud’s earlier game Sakura Dungeon. Of course, more romance options and bad endings could be added to combat the lack of voice acting. In spite of the shortcomings with the game, Sakura MMO 3 brings a satisfying conclusion to the series by delivering on the harem ending as my favourite ending at last for yuri fans and those who asked for such an ending in the game series’s discussion forums and reviews (including myself in an earlier review), yaay! Viola deserves her harem of cute girls as the legendary dark witch who is also caring and protective.

Overall, I find the price of this visual novel to be a bit high due to the short length of the game. At the same time, the great artwork and background music in this game, along with a few laughs in the story with nice happy endings allow me to look past the price. I hope Winged Cloud and the scriptwriter will continue to produce more entertaining fantasy-themed visual novels or role-playing games with beautiful artwork and music. I never grow tired of these. For those who are prepared to wait, I recommend to do so until the entire Sakura MMO series has been released in an attractive bundle offer or all titles are discounted to around a couple of dollars each to be proportional to the playtime of each title. Fairly solid soundtrack and mostly amusing characters keep Sakura MMO 3 moving until its conclusion. Having not played the first two in this series, this is playable on its own but does contain some fairly obvious spoilers from the earlier games. All but one of the included endings are somewhat open-ended so I doubt this series is truly finished. Decent story but the writing contains some grammatical errors.

Proper flow isn’t maintained throughout as there are a few glaring scene transitions due to your choices having cut a plot line out and/or 18+ material having been removed post-release for the Steam edition, this type of low effort is pretty unusual going by past Winged Cloud games I’ve played. Nothing here is a deal breaker but altogether is worth a mention. Achievement hunters, you’re looking at just under 5 hours for completion for this title with a full story arc taking 4 of that and using text skip to unlock the rest. Recommended on steep sale or if you like your VNs cheesy and full of innuendo. Sakura MMO3 is the third and last part of the MMO series counting out Sakura MMO Extra, in which we take on the adventure to defeat the goddess Iona that is plotting to destroy Asaph as a whole. In this title we are abord a ship crossing through the sevens seas to find the forbidden library, which is heavily protected by mother nature and a legendary/mythic creature known to be as old as the world of Asaph itself, to know the entry location to the underworld, and so be able to engage the goddess.

This chapter feature in total of 5 different routes. 1 for each member of the party, 1 bad end, where the goddess Iona manages to kill the party, and at last and i can only say finaly, because i was waiting for this route in the last 2 chapter, the harem route, where we end up staying with all of the 3 girls. We also have again a very attractiv artwork that follows the usual artstyle of Winged Cloud with some pretty girls and is really agreable. Overal thoughs of this title and the series: What i like alot in this titleis again the great accompanying music, it is very fitting for this story. I also like that we have for first time in this series a harem and a bad end, i was missing it in the last 2 titles. The forbidden library was also very fitting to be know that only gods are allowed to entry it under normal circomstances. It was also giving off a spiritual energy which made the party uneasy which i could only relate having it i such a pure and white color where no shadow found its place. The thing that i found especially flashing out of the 3 titlestogether though , the repetition the sentence “that’s right”, which popped really often by every character.
