With some more content, this could be up there with the greats when it comes to rougelites. The art style, sfx, and music are all stellar and the items and perks are all (for the most part) very fun to use to make creative runs. The game seems like a mashup of Super Auto Pets, Balatro, and Ballionaire/Peglin. If you like any of those games this is a must play. Hoping for some more/better challenges and more items/perks/foods in the future. The cafeteria is one of the coolest things i’ve seen in a game like this. This game, like Path of Achra, takes the roguelike genre to it’s final conclusion. Whereas Path of Achra does this in a verbose way, the objective in Nubby’s Number Factory is far more direct by asking the player to literally just make the number bigger in a Peggle-style game similar to Peglin with a focus on keeping the pegs rather than removing them. If you enjoy games like Balatro you will probably enjoy this game a lot. Wreckfest 2

The game has a stylized Space Cadet Pinball/ Type-To-Learn early 1990’s computer game aesthetic that looks like it was designed entirely on Kid Pix using some of the pre-installed models on 3DSMAX. I find the game incredibly charming for what it is although I am from the age of early 3D games. For $5, it is very hard to fault this game. It is embarrassingly addictive for how simple it is and the design, although bordering on lazy, is incredibly humorous to me. Mileage may vary but I beat the game on my 2nd try (30 min. total) although there are 10 challenges that make the game significantly more difficult and/or RNG-based that will keep you occupied for hours more. Do not expect this to translate to hundreds of hours but know that for $5 you’re getting at least 6-12 hours of meaningful content and things to unlock which to me is quite a lot.
