graphics are a tad rough sometimes, particularly vfx, reflections, and anim snapping, a tad too hardware demanding than it needs to be, console may be the better choice. gameplay is completely unchanged, so you can go with any version of NG2, it’s a great game. tho the collection is kinda the better value financially. ive played multiple versions of every ninja gaiden through the years and if your looking for a version thats easily accessible and closer to the original version id take this over the sigma 2 version any day. I Still dont think its as good as the 360 version which is peak but for sure some of the changes like making the game faster and more lethal moment to moment (started on very hard) easily make ninja gaiden 2 black better than sigma 2 for me. The only complaint i have is that the image quality is awful, worse than how dlss or fsr usually makes a game look. I found a slight remedy was to turn sharpening in settings all the way down to 0 or 1, I also have a decent rig so not sure how a lower end one would fair the game currently isnt the best optimized thing but its not the worst release ive seen, it does do shader compilation before each boot but the game runs on UE5 so it still gets minor stutters here and there but it seems minimal so far compared to every other UE5 release. id recommend if you like ninja gaiden at all and need your fix before NG4 or cant find a way to play the original version of 2 Honestly, outside the funky camera, I am enjoying it quite a bit. Also, on the topic of the camera, please add more sensitivity options. Maybe five more levels. If the jank camera had a snappy response, it could help mitigate the issue. That being said, although a hate Unreal 5, outside the very first cut scene (38/58 fps), it has stayed at a consistent 60. 2 hours is more than enough time to know if you enjoy the game. You get a second weapon in the first mission, which gives a little diversity from the start. Not a full $60, so give it a shot. The sounds are the classic sounds too (attacking, sheathing the blade). To be fair, I would have liked this to be updated to a more modern sound design, but I do not hate it.
