Lara Croft GO Free Download GAMESPACK.NET In an industry so focused on creating ever larger and more expansive experiences, there’s something to be said about the power of focus. Lara Croft Go is a title that’s not focused on wowing the player with a billion different features that create the illusion of depth, instead opting for a simplified, handcrafted feel that positively oozes care and quality. As far as action puzzle games go, you can’t do much better than this. The thing that immediately draws you in to this game is its striking, angular visual style. The original Tomb Raider games were notoriously pointy due to their low polygon count, and this game was crafted as a sort of tribute to that for the 20th anniversary of the series. Everything has a flat, angular look to it, but this time around it’s an asset as opposed to a hardware restriction. The cel-shaded colours give the environments hard lines that have a way of making details jump out at you in a way they might not have had things been blended together in a smooth manner. That’s not to say that there aren’t some more advanced techniques being employed here, however. For instance, when walking through a jungle, little particles fall around you from the treetops, and when walking through caves, a spotlight follows Lara, illuminating the immediate areas of the cave while the rest is more muted.TOP/BEST ADULT VIDEO GAMES IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA)

There’s something bizarrely pleasing about this angular aesthetic, and it consistently impresses as the campaign continues on. Gameplay could be most closely explained as a mixture of the turn-based strategy and puzzle genres. A set path of nodes meanders throughout the environment and Lara is restricted to moving along it. After she takes a step, the rest of the environment takes its “turn” and everything moves one more node. This means that enemies, boulders, and other hazards will shift, so you have to take everything into account before you move. Enemies can be defeated by simply walking onto their node from any side that’s not their front, and as the game progresses, you’re occasionally given access to tools such as a torch that frightens off enemies or a spear that can dispatch them from afar. What’s immediately striking about this setup is how well it manages to distil the basic tenets of the Tomb Raider games into a simplified, streamlined experience. You may be on rails at all times and the game’s pace may only progress at whatever speed you dictate, but it’s remarkable how the developer has managed to create a sense of urgency even in the stop and go setup. For example, when climbing a wall covered in buzzsaw traps, it still feels as though you must properly time when to jump between the moving saws.

Experience lush visuals and a captivating soundtrack.

Even if all of them are completely static until you actually make a move. The puzzles themselves are extremely well thought out, and manage to stay interesting throughout the whole campaign. As you progress, more elements are introduced – such as new enemy or trap types – and the difficulty gradually increases as the puzzles become more complex and require deeper thought to solve. While you may be able to more or less run through the first bunch of levels, the latter half of the game will have you approaching it more as a chess game, weighing options and planning three moves in advance as you discern how to best guide Lara through the obstacles. If at any point it becomes too difficult or you find yourself stumped by a puzzle, you can turn on the hint system which will guide you step by step through the level. This is a nice inclusion as it negates any bottlenecks in the game’s structure, while still giving you full control over how you wish to experience the game. In terms of replayability and content, there’s a lot to play here. On top of the lengthy base campaign, there’s two additional expansions (one of which we’ll get to later) that add several hours to the game’s total length.Mercenaries Blaze

Also, the game features a menagerie of collectable jewels and relics cleverly hidden in jars in the backgrounds of each stage, which unlock extra costumes and skins for Lara. Particularly later on, these jars can be quite easy to miss, but the game tells you which ones you missed in which levels, and the hint system allows you to retread through these levels again to find them with little hassle. As for which platform we’d recommend you play it on, we’d lean more towards the PS4. The nature of the gameplay is perfect for on the go gaming and so the Vita has the PS4 trumped on that front, but the Vita port is poorly optimised. It takes about 45 seconds to load a new level and about 30 to retry a stage if you make a mistake, as opposed to about five seconds for either on the PS4. Additionally, the Vita version runs at a lower framerate and frequently drops frames in some of the larger puzzles which include more enemies and hazards. Considering that the PS4 version seems to run at 60 frames-per-second, has prettier visuals due to the better resolution, and has significantly lower load times, it is the definitive version, but it does lose out on the portability aspect. Lara Croft Go may be a mobile spin-off of Tomb Raider, but just as Hitman Go did for Agent 47’s stealthy undertakings, it manages to capture the spirit of Lara’s classic PSX-era adventures and repackage them into something fresh, great looking, and surprisingly classy. It’s nowhere near as challenging as I hoped a puzzle game like it would be.

Collect ancient relics and unlock new outfits for Lara.

But it makes up for this with an action-packed approach to turn-based pacing that brings the thrill of Tomb Raider to life in a whole new way. The early levels of Lara Croft Go have you controlling our heroine – clad in her trademark blue tank and shorts – tile-by-tile through a series of stony ruins teaching you how to move, activate levers, and maneuver around individual dangers and enemies to reach the end goal. The stakes ramp up at a comfortable pace as the stages go on, introducing deadly combinations of everything you’ve encountered. These include bottomless pits, snakes that strike anything one tile in front of them, giant lizards that follow Lara around, huge, patrolling arachnids, boulders, traps, and more. Each element succeeds as a callback to memorable set pieces from old Tomb Raider games, but also as significant components in the treacherous obstacle courses that make up Lara Croft Go’s puzzles, which are set just as faithfully in the iconic jungles, caverns, and, of course, tombs, of Lara’s daring archaeological escapades. Lara Croft Go excels in its fluid integration of various mechanics into cohesive puzzles. In one level, you may learn how to kill a new enemy type, but in another, killing that enemy might render the level impossible when coupled with a more complex series of obstacles.Serious Sam 3 BFE

Every element, from hostile beasts to basic things like levers, buttons, and platforms creates a new, interesting dynamic when paired with another, and the potential for each combination felt fully explored during the course of Lara’s 40-level journey. While the design of levels is clean, engaging, and smart, they’re rarely difficult. I never found myself stuck on one puzzle long enough to feel thoroughly challenged – the gist of the solution was never more than two or three trial-and-errors away. Similarly, Lara Croft Go’s many collectibles don’t require much extra effort to locate considering they’re scattered throughout levels in gold vases you need only tap on to acquire. They do make it easy to unlock new costumes without having to pay money though, which is a plus in the world of mobile games. The low level of difficulty is only a minor disappointment, and easily dismissed in light of how satisfying it is to blast enemies, outwit traps, and speed through some of Lara Croft Go’s longer, more elaborate levels – a quality attributed entirely to how fantastic this game looks, sounds, and feels. You’re not limited in the amount of turns you can take, so the potential for a quicker pace is there. Without spoiling the specifics, Lara Croft Go even manages to feature a boss fight whose build-up and creative implementation into the turn-based structure ended up being an impressive and unexpected highlight.

Fight menacing enemies, overcome dangerous obstacles and escape deadly traps.

Before we get into the game’s mechanics, let’s talk about why you’re here. You play as none other than Lara Croft, navigating through an ancient civilization in hopes to uncover the myth of the Queen of Venom. I’m going to be entirely honest here – I wouldn’t know that if I didn’t read through the game’s Play Store description. There’s no dialogue in the game whatsoever, which makes it very difficult to know what exactly you’re trying to accomplish in the grand scheme of things. Still, though, short-term goals in the game are quite easy to understand – avoid or kill enemies, collect ancient relics to unlock new outfits and do your best to make your way through each map. The game is split up into five different chapters: The Entrance, The Maze of Snakes, The Maze of Stones, The Maze of Spirits and The Escape. There are 75 puzzles in all, and you need to complete every one to finish the game. Much like its predecessor, Lara Croft GO is a turn-based puzzler that’s proven to be quite addictive. To navigate around the board, you simply swipe in the direction you’d like to move. There are no limitations on the number of moves you can make, which is something I needed to get used to from playing Hitman GO.

With Hitman GO, I’d spend minutes at a time plotting every move to make sure I completed each level with the appropriate amount of moves. In Lara Croft GO, however, you can essentially navigate around as much as you’d like, which gives you much more freedom. In order to make your way to the end of each level (usually signified by a glowing door or cave), you’ll need to defeat or avoid the onslaught of enemies standing in your way. There are three main enemies in Lara Croft GO: snakes, lizards and spiders. Snakes stay in one place and will attack if you walk right in front of them, while spiders move around a certain path with every move you take. Lizards are by far the most annoying of the bunch, as they follow you around the game board if you get too close. These enemies can sometimes be used to your advantage to hold down platform switches or to help open doors. You can kill enemies by sneaking up behind them with your knife or by throwing spears. Fire can also be used to scare them away, allowing you to corner them or move them around the game board any way you’d like. One thing should be noted when it comes to gameplay style, though, and it’s something that I often forget with this title. There is no limit on time or number of moves you can make. It’s easy to forget this when a giant lizard is chasing you around, or when a giant serpent is staring you down one space away.

Just remember to take your time and carefully think about each move, otherwise you’ll end up starting each level over more times than you’d like. The first few levels are quite easy, and that’s alright. This allows you to get familiar with how the game works, how each enemy functions and what exactly you’re trying to accomplish. Once you start getting into the third and fourth chapters, though, each level gets significantly more difficult. I’ve had to put the game down due to sheer frustration at times, which, in hindsight, isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s challenging enough to keep you playing over a long period of time, yet satisfying enough to keep you interested. Throughout the game, you’ll find little jars scattered around each level which hold pieces of lost relics. Once you collect all of the pieces to a certain relic, you’ll unlock new outfits for Lara Croft. Relics can be extremely hard to find in some levels, while sometimes they’re waiting for you out in the open. It’s easy to miss them at times, but really, they’re not all that important. Lara Croft GO is available in the Google Play Store for $4.99. It doesn’t feature any advertisements, and the small amount of in-app purchases are completely hidden from plain sight. In fact, if I didn’t go snooping around in some of the menus, I’d think this game is in-app purchase-free. If you’d like to spend some extra cash when you’re playing though, there are only two that I can find.Lords Of The Fallen
