The game is actually fun, sure you kill innocents and you play as a mass murderer and what not, but besides that the game is fun , it’s kinda like POSTAL 1 , just more refined. The executions are gruesome and nice, the physics in the game as in the building destruction is awesome. Achievement wise “You should see a shrink” was by far the most annoying achievement ever. Needing you to play for 50 hours. I beat the game with all difficulty related achievements in 20-ish hours and got the rest of the achievements in 30-ish hours. So yeah thats abit annoying. Hatred is undeniably provocative—it’s a game that revels in its shock value from the get-go. You step into the shoes of a misanthropic mass murderer on a nihilistic rampage, and while the concept is audacious, the execution leaves much to be desired. Primal Hearts

The game’s minimalist black-and-white aesthetic does wonders for atmosphere, lending a stark, almost surreal quality to its destructible environments. There’s something oddly satisfying about watching walls crumble and chaos unfold as you unleash unrelenting violence. The twin-stick shooter mechanics are competent enough, and the execution sequences (which not only deliver brutal animations but also restore your health) add a unique twist to the gameplay loop. However, after the initial thrill, Hatred quickly settles into a repetitive pattern. The objectives remain essentially the same across levels—kill a set number of targets—and the enemy AI is frustratingly simplistic, which makes the challenge feel more like a monotonous chore than an engaging test of skill. The game’s focus on shock over substance means that, beyond its visceral style, there isn’t much depth to savor. Ultimately, Hatred is best viewed as a daring experiment in transgressive game design. It pushes boundaries and forces you to confront your own thresholds for on-screen violence. If you’re intrigued by its unapologetically dark premise and can overlook the repetitive gameplay, it might just serve as a curious, if shallow, escape. For those seeking a game with more nuance and variety, however, Hatred may ultimately feel like a one-note experience.
