I’ve played this game a lot, and looking at this game from just a gameplay perspective, I love it for what it is. For a Among Us clone, this plays well, is quite polished and gets regular updates.

HOWEVER, the reason I cannot recommend this game are the developers. Quite frankly, they lucked their way to the current state of the game and depend on the playerbase buying into their gimmick incentives for gameplay. They then ban you on their public forums for pointing this out to them, because they have an apparently huge ego. If you want an example, the Mechanic Goose role is a role that can use the vents of the maps, so an Engineer from Among Us mods. This role is, for some reason, immortal while venting and encourages the player to just sit in vents all game long, effectively making the vents for the Impostors completely useless as they will get caught. It also denies the Pigeon role their win condition, because the Pigeon needs to infect each player during one round to win, which they cannot due to a Mechanic Goose just sitting in vents all game. It also makes it frustrating for Geese to win because they need to complete tasks to win, but many Mechanics just don’t do this. It is a terribly implemented role, and when I brought this up for the second time, I was told I have “a lot of strong opinions”, which is an arrogant answer to the concern of a player.

Voice chat: Goose Goose Duck features built-in voice chat, which allows players to communicate with each other in real-time. This makes it easier to coordinate and strategize with other players during the game.

Not to mention, they have roles whose sole purpose is to give you 2 or 3 more coins for completing an objective, and coins are used to purchase cosmetics. The issue is that most cosmetics need 1k+ coins to unlock and in worst case scenarios, these coin roles have an incentive to completely throw games just for these few coins, while just being worse roles than roles without an ability. A few Impostor roles are also just worse than a regular Impostor. Their inability to receive feedback that isn’t praise is clear as day to me, and because of this I cannot recommend it, despite playing the game. And that’s because there simply isn’t an alternative to this game. I’ve been playing this game more hours than Steam lets on. The obvious comparison to Goose Goose Duck is Among Us, but where Among Us felt old after a few rounds, I can’t stop playing Goose Goose Duck. So many options for geese(good guys) and ducks(killers) has each round exciting for everybody in the match. Instead of starting each round hoping to only be killing people, any of the roles feels useful and exciting. No longer can you just look for suspicious people to vote out. Now you’re wondering “Was that guy in the vent on my team? Did I just watch a Vigilante(good guy role) use his only kill to kill another killer? United Assault World War 2
