DRAGON QUEST TREASURES Switch NSP Free Download GAMESPACK.NET In the latest issue of Famitsu, the outlet interviewed Dragon Quest Treasures producer Taichi Inuzuka, revealing intriguing tidbits worth chewing on. Firstly, Inuzuka stated that even with Dragon Quest Treasures releasing soon and being clearly inspired by the Monsters’ series of spinoffs, that does not mean the Monsters series itself will “disappear.” This statement was not elaborated upon, but it appears that fans of that specific subset of titles should have some faith about them being potentially revived. Further, the producer stated that following the release of the Japanese-exclusive Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3, he wanted to do something new with the series, eventually leading to the development of Treasures. Therefore, and while this is not explicitly stated, it can be implied that the conceptualization of Treasures occurred during the timeframe of Joker 3’s release. Lastly, the playtime of Dragon Quest Treasures was discussed, with its main story stated to take roughly 30 hours. Although, those seeking to seek full 100% completion should expect to spend around 100 hours.TOP/BEST ADULT VIDEO GAMES IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA)

Dragon Quest Treasures follows Erik and Mia, both prominent characters from Dragon Quest XI, with Erik even having been a party member. However, in this title, these siblings are taken away from the Viking ship they normally reside in to a new world called Draconia, housing a myriad of treasures, including the Seven Dragonstones. Conveniently, Erik and Mia can communicate with the monsters here, allowing for integral cooperation regarding treasure hunting. RPGs aren’t always the most kid-friendly experience. They can be filled with complicated combat systems, massive difficulty spikes, and long run-times that can make them feel insurmountably long. While series like Pokémon cracked the code, making the genre more approachable for players of all ages, most young children aren’t likely to pick up something like Tales of Arise. Dragon Quest Treasures tries to solve that problem. The upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive takes the colorful world of Dragon Quest XI and places it in a chilled-out game built for both kids and those who find 100-hour RPGs a little too demanding. After demoing the first hour of the game.

THE ADVENTURE ERIK AND MIA HAVE ALWAYS DREAMED OF IS FINALLY UNDERWAY!

I can see how it could make for a great stepping stone into the Dragon Quest IP for younger players. Its slow pace and simplified systems may leave long-term fans yearning for a deeper RPG, but it might be the perfect game for long-time fans to share with their kids. Dragon Quest Treasures acts as a sort of prequel to Dragon Quest XI, starring Mia and Erik in their younger days. The opening scene of their adventure plays like a childhood fantasy, complete with pirate skeletons. It’s a bit like if you turned Dragon Quest into a Netflix cartoon, turning its monsters into adorable sidekicks. It’s a bit slow to get going, and that’s where you can really feel who the game was built for. Early on, I’m taught basic actions like crouching and using my slingshot to solve little environmental puzzles in between long text box conversations. As someone who hasn’t been following the game closely, I wasn’t even sure if it was an RPG with battles and leveling up for a good 20 minutes. Before it gets to any of those hooks, it introduces the “Treasures” part of its title.  As soon as I’m dropped into the world, I come across a locked gate.God of War PC

I’ll need to find a key to open it and I’m given a clue as to where it is: a photo of some lily pads. My first task is to find where that photo was taken to unearth the key. It’s a simple exploration puzzle that I imagine a very young child could figure out, especially with a parent controlling the action. I’m not sure how complex that system will get as the world expands, but that treasure-hunting aspect could make for a fun, relaxed exploration hook depending on how widely the game opens up. I would eventually get to the more traditional RPG hooks, though the bits I played were very streamlined. Combat works in an action-RPG fashion, with players controlling their hero who can slash enemies with one button or shoot pebbles at them with a slingshot. Characters travel around with a party of monsters, like slimes, who auto-attack when an enemy comes into range. My early battles were easy to manage as a result. I could hang back and let my monsters do the work, poking in to get some shots on my enemy while it was preoccupied. It’s another decision that makes this game theoretically easy for a kid to pick up, though adults might struggle with the overall feel.

THE TEAM SOON BEFRIENDS AND RECRUITS A VERITABLE VARIETY OF WELL-MANNERED MONSTERS.

The pace of battle is quite slow, with slashes feeling a little sluggish. I found that the one-button attack system got repetitive quickly, leaving me a little unengaged during the demo’s first boss fight. I’m hoping that’s more due to how early in the game I was rather than being indicative of the whole combat system. I’m ultimately more interested to see where the treasure-hunting gameplay goes, as I only got a taste of that. Toward the back half of the demo, I learn that my monster pals have specific abilities that let me traverse the world. For instance, one allows me to bounce in the air, letting me reach high up cliffs. I imagine that could open the world for some more free-form exploration that opens the door for unexpected discoveries, ala The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Dragon Quest Treasures certainly seems like it’s accomplishing what it sets out to do. It’s an endearing little cartoon that combines easy-to-understand treasure hunting with streamlined RPG combat. It reminds me a bit of the Monster Hunter Stories series, which strips the complicated systems of Monster Hunter into a more easily legible game of rock/paper/scissors.Youropa Switch NSP

And though I hope to see a little more complexity to its battles in the full release, I imagine it’ll be a fun way for parents to pass their love of Dragon Quest down to their kids. Dragon Quest Treasures is a prequel to Dragon Quest 11. It follows the exploits of Erik and his sister, Mia, well before they met up with The Luminary and follows them on their adventure to find treasure, escape vikings, and jump on top of the heads of monsters in order to reach higher platforms. Unlike Dragon Quest 11, Treasures is an action game with open environments and a focus on collecting valuables. It releases December 9 on Nintendo Switch and we will have a review for the game on gameinformer.com soon. We haven’t heard a whole lot about Dragon Quest Treasures lately, even though we are very close to the game’s release date which is this Friday. A number of previews have appeared from some media outlets and the general consensus is it is looking like a fun and charming adventure from Square Enix. The Dragon Quest Treasures previewers only got to play around with the game for a couple of hours.

BY MAKING USE OF THESE MONSTERS’ MAGICAL VISIONS OF HIDDEN TREASURE AND THEIR UNIQUE TREASURE-HUNTING ABILITIES.

so as always it is best to wait for the reviews to arrive before pre-ordering. Here’s a sample of some of the previews which are now available to read: “Dragon Quest Treasures is this entirely new sort of spin-off for the Dragon Quest series. Tapping into Dragon Quest XI, it pulls younger versions of the thief Erik and his sister Mia as they go off on a search for, well, treasure. Early promotional materials suggested an action-RPG with exploration on various islands. However, in my first few hours with the game, I also was delighted by how often it reminded me of the Dragon Quest Monsters series.” “Dragon Quest Treasures feels like it is doing its own thing early on, but still reminds me of the Monsters spin-off series. There’s still more I need to see and do, of course. But what it’s accomplishing so far is encouraging.” “I wasn’t quite sure how I’d feel about the experience when actively playing it. But as the beginning hours passed, Dragon Quest Treasures began to feel like the wonders of childhood personified; a seemingly infinite expanse of literal treasure to discover at one’s leisure.”

“After only a few hours, Dragon Quest Treasures’ general ambitions are clearly portrayed, with a vast world seeming quite thrilling to explore alongside constant discovery. I’m looking forward to sharing more detailed thoughts regarding the game as we publish our review closer to the title’s release. On an offhanded note, our site’s founder, Azario Lopez, thought this was initially a match-three game. I don’t know how; ask him if you’re curious.” These initial hours of the game provide a great look at everything DQ Treasures has to offer. There are enough elements from the Dragon Quest Monsters series still on display here that DQM fans should be pleased, and it’s great to see a beloved character like Erik from DQ 11 taking the center stage with his sister Mia. For anyone looking for a cozy monster-recruiting game, Dragon Quest Treasures is off to a promising start. Unlike Dragon Quest 11, Treasures is an action game with open environments and a focus on collecting valuables. It releases December 9 on Nintendo Switch and we will have a review for the game on gameinformer.com soon. It’s a bit slow to get going, and that’s where you can really feel who the game was built for.
