A chilled experience in the arctic! It really engages with your ADHD side.. Go from running around stocking shelves, serving customers, to cleaning & designing rooms, to suddenly stopping everything when you notice the adorable guest’s pets they bring.. standing there making “adooba-dooba-doo” noises for about 5 minutes before returning in a panic to the overwhelming amount of things that have built up since your absence. There’s plenty to do to keep busy, and the only major drawback seems to be the lack of options in terms of designing the rooms/motel itself (e.g. no colouring furniture, decorative lighting/items are not really a thing, and there is a small amount of choices of each category type). This is a bugbear, but the other gameplay elements compensate here. Basically, if you’re looking for a “designer game” its less like this, and more of a “task based” game. Hopefully things will change here as it would add more of a cozy feel making things more unique per room etc. Monster Hunter Stories Collection

Going along with this it would be good to see some kind of “gameplay speed” adjuster, to slow things down alot. If you get easily influenced by “customer waiting” type notifications it will annoy the hell outta you very quickly. NPC’s literally spawn in the bucket load – which doesn’t really reflect the “out in the sticks” vibe I wanted to have – it would be nice if I can run the place alot slower – basically visualising myself as a steady-away confused old man, being patient to meet the handful of guests per day (whom I will be overly friendly and attentive, to the point they worry about my health and probably tip more). All in all, its a good game for the money, feels like a full game, and I hope it develops further!
