The walking speed is driving me insane, it’s way too slow. Literally mashing my Steam Deck joystick to the side – and my character is just a turtle plopping along. So frustrating. Tools break too easily and just overall needs more balance. I’m always about to starve to death, and food doesn’t recover a lot of the hunger bar. Speaking of food, the food/hunger mechanic has no point to it other than being able to label the game a “survival” sim. Would be amazing if there was an option to turn this off. The stamina and sleeping are quirky too. You run out of stamina and the only way to recover is to sleep. But you automatically wake up when it’s full – and that can be at 2am and you can’t go back to sleep. So I’m working in the dark, only to run out of stamina again at noon and the cycle continues.

The English translations are terrible, and even the save data isn’t in English. That’s very telling. As things are being explained by NPCs, it’s all over the place trying to figure out what they mean because they are talking in circles, and in strange ways. The UI needs a lot of work, as an example the quests are all crammed on the side of the screen and the menu/inventory aren’t quite there yet. And the quest’s page – it should have a description of the quest requirements. I have 5 quests and I have to go back and ask each NPC what to do because it’s not listed in the menu. This game needs a tutorial, or a better way to introduce game mechanics. I discovered that you can get a pet Slime. But I don’t know why, or what its purpose is. The sound effects are generic sound bites you can find on the internet. Even just the footsteps of your character – very low quality. It’s not a huge deal breaker, but it just goes to show the overall quality of the game.
