I mean… it’s one of the better ‘Only Up’ games on Steam, but that’s not saying much because so many of them are just hastily cobbled together piles of asset trash. This one at least seems to have genuine effort put into it. My problem comes from the same problem that I have with far too many Unreal engine indie games. There is NO setting in the settings to turn OFF ‘motion blur’ and this game has a disgusting level of motion blur ruining the overall experience.
To the dev(s) of this: It’s as simple as turning off motion blur in a setting in the Unreal engine to completely remove motion blur, and if you aren’t going to include a setting allowing your players to turn it off, please FFS just turn it off yourself!! ..Nobody wants motion blur in their damn games, trust me on that!! It’s probably worth the price if you can handle the motion blur, but as a gamer myself who absolutely despises motion blur.. I cannot recommend this game because you can’t turn it off and the developer(s) seem too lazy to simply turn it off in the engine before exporting their project and uploading it to Steam. NOT RECOMMENDED. An overall decent attempt at making an ‘Only Up’ clone is dampered big-time by Motion Blur. This game should be called “Only Motion Blur!” since you cannot turn it off! The game is also too easy with hit boxes that are far too big to make the game challenging. This is definitely better than requiring you to be pixel perfect on jumps, but games that are too easy aren’t much fun either. ..I hate to hate on this game that is getting 90% positive reviews lately, but it could definitely be a lot better game with a little more work (and turning off the $%#@* motion blur in the unreal engine project)
