That is not an option here. EOS is usually used for crossplay with consoles, but there is no crossplay here, not even with EGS. Negative reviews are warranted as they snuck in this change and didnt have a disclaimer on the store page until hours after launch, despite having the game up for preorder for months. Yeah, you kind of know what youre getting with EDF and you either like it or not. You go in knowing that graphics are at least a decade behind, every ounce of performance is used to put as many enemies on screen and as big of explosions as possible framerate be damned, and the voice acting/story is on par with an Ed Woods sci-fi special, and you love every second of it lol. Co-op is also a special brand of fun too. It has that Helldiver’s vibe where its not a matter of if you teamkil but when, and amps it up by 10. Testing out a new weapon? Forgot to tell you that it shoots sideways, bye bye player 2 lmao. Oh, wing diver is sniping from a tower? Didnt mean for my airstrike to destroy that building. I remember seeing Global Defense Force for the PS2 on a supermarket shelf when I was a kid. I wanted a new game to play but couldn’t afford a “proper” game so sort of settled for this cheap, janky looking game I’d never heard of before. I was absolutely blown away and had a ton of fun with it. The scale of the destruction and the amount of enemies on the screen was something I’d never seen before, even if it only ran at 5fps at times! It’s crazy to see how the series has evolved over the years and become mainstream. I bought my copy this morning and have a friend coming round this evening to play it together. EDF! EDF! PATHOGEN X
