Metaphor: ReFantazio Free Download GAMESPACK.NET  If you can get past the fact that this game is in a technically unacceptable state (due to Atlus using the outdated P5 engine, unlike P3R and SMT Vengeance which use Unreal Engine), you’ll love everything it has to offer. I shouldn’t have to use a Vulkan injector to get a consistent 60 fps for a game with the graphical fidelity of a PS3 title in 2024. Even with the injector, my system is working far too hard to maintain 60 fps for a game with such low graphical demands. And to be clear, I’m not criticizing the game’s graphics—I don’t play these games for visual realism; that’s not what they’re about. I play them for their amazing art style. The beauty of games that emphasize art style is that they typically demand very little from your system to run smoothly. Given that context, along with how hyped this game was, at least within the JRPG community, this port feels like a huge ‘♥♥♥♥ you’ to the players. Nihon Falcom, the creator of the Trails series (my beloved—easily one of the best series in video games), unveiled their new custom in-house engine with the latest entry in the Trails series: Trails Through Daybreak. On a side note, the game nailed the real-time action and turn-based combat fluidity before Metaphor—Atlus didn’t do it first, Nihon Falcom did. It blows my mind that a significantly smaller studio with a much lower budget can create an engine that, as far as anime-styled games go, is very technically impressive. The PC port of Daybreak, in particular, far exceeds the expectations of a relatively ‘good’ PC port. This comparison proves there are absolutely no excuses Atlus can make: Tony Stark made Daybreak and its respective engine in a cave, lol. I really hope Atlus fixes Metaphor, because while the game remains playable despite its numerous performance and optimization issues, it’s still completely unacceptable. As long as these issues persist, the system requirements listed on the game’s store page are blatantly misleading to any gamer looking to dive into this refreshing experience.
