Everlasting Flowers Free Download GAMESPACK.NET I feel that whether or not you like it will come down to how you feel about the story, and that is, of course, subjective… for me, personally, I’m writing this 2 hours into the game and emotionally, it has already hit me like a truck. This story immediately felt really, really relatable to me, so I’m undoubtedly only going to be more and more biased towards it as I get further. There is something so emotionally tender about it, about the nuance and care that it takes in examining the feelings of our characters; this sounds so weird to say, but it feels like the writing itself cares deeply about Mina and Ran – so I can’t wait to see where things go from here. I do think, though, that if you find yourself struggling to get emotionally invested, you might struggle to enjoy this one as a whole. The Emotional and Philosophical tags are absolutely apt here, I really think that’s what Everlasting Flowers is going for. So as much as I recommend this wholeheartedly, if that’s just not what you’re looking for, or if you’re just not in the right head-space for it, I don’t think anything about Everlasting Flowers will make you change your mind, here. And that’s okay! For me, personally, though… it’s been quite a while since I’ve read an emotionally-charged visual novel, so sprite has given me exactly what I’ve wanted. The always-online requirement has been removed since I originally reviewed the game, so I’m no longer against this release for that. Though I ended up playing and finishing the game on a different platform because of it. Overall, I’d say the game is a decent 7/10. It’s a nice little game about a socially challenged girl trying to flee from her past. It’s nothing particularly groundbreaking, but it can be an enjoyable time, watching Mina as she grows throughout the story. The main appeal of this game is the visual presentation, not quite on the level of games such as Mahoyo, but very much above 95% of other VNs. Keep in mind that despite its looks, this is not a yuri game though–the girls’ relationships are fully platonic, at best there’s a little yuribait. $30 is pretty steep for a 7-ish hour VN, though keep in mind that you’re paying extra for the higher-than-average presentation; they jammed more CGs than the average long VN has into these 7 hours, to the point where you’re more often looking at CGs than plain backgrounds and character portraits. I’d say the overall experience benefits from it, having more pretty images to depict the story with, better expressing the characters than just a handful of portraits or a single CG could. My one biggest complaint with the visuals would be that since they’re trying to go for a more cinematic look than most VNs, some lip flaps would be nice. Akimbot
