All 3 heroines has good quality voice over while MC don’t have any voice whatsoever (typical japanese VN), the gameplay is more or less 1~2 hours with not that much sex content.Animations have decent quality but some of them are rather weird… Seriously we are in 2022 why we still have invisible male bodies, flying dicks or tongues? LOL Render style looks kind of cute.Story feels pretty rushed and not developed very well at all. MC not having voiced dialogues don’t makes any sense at all, because thats someting only then for giving player ”You are the MC” but while you cant name the MC itself not adding voiced dialogues just makes things worse… So you dont add basic thing like naming MC and take away being MC feeling from your gamers and it could be ok if you add voiced dialogues to MC and give him his own character but no! So you just want choice easy way ha? Nice… Its made by unity and even menu shortcuts are painfull to use like you cant open save page with right mouse which is pretty basic and important feature.

You then get to make the odd choice here and there. However, I do feel that this is very, very close to being a kinetic visual novel as I felt that my choices never really felt like they mattered. The best thing that Secret Pie has going for it has to be those amazing visuals. This game truly does have some amazing artwork and all three of the girls are gorgeous, with Airi being my personal favorite out of the three! Each scene has a little bit of animation here and there and the lewd scenes are fully animated and they are some of the best that I have seen in quite a while. I just wish that there was a way to replay the scenes once you have seen them as the only way to see them again is by playing through the game again.The most surprising aspect of Secret Pie has to be that it has voice acting! All three of the ladies are voice acted and they sound fantastic! I think that they perhaps should have gone that extra mile and made it so the main character was voice acted too. To be able to follow the story in a linear fashion that progresses correctly, you have to interact with specific characters and situations in a VERY specific manner. If you don’t, you miss out on important parts of the story. This problem is amplified by the fact that some developers refuse to help you in any way as to where to go and what to do. You are left to hopelessly prod along. Example – I made the decision to simply avoid the Audrey character because I could not stand her attitude and when I found out what she was doing to Samantha I hated her even more. I went on and followed every other part of the story but what I failed to see were very important aspects of the relationship between the MC, Audrey and Samantha. By the time I began to get the feeling that things were missing it was too late and I ended up ending chapter 1 of the story with Audrey’s progress nowhere near complete.

I had two choices. Go all the way back and start over and make absolutely sure that I followed EVERYONE’S story equally or just live with the fact that I may never see the Audrey story develop. Because I hate Sandbox games so much, I forged on with the story and just hoped for the best. You see? This is the problem with Sandbox type stories. If you miss ANYTHING you screw up the story and don’t even get me started on how you invariably end up seeing bits of one character story-line that bleeds over to another, leaving you clueless about what is going on. WHY? Because you didn’t keep up with everyone.  Now that my rant is over, lets get to the story.So far this has been a game that I “want to enjoy”. The renders are good and I like where the story line is going. The inconsistent flow of the game caused by the “sandbox” however, is a “glaring” issue that is just killing the game for me though If you choose to avoid a particular character or delay the interaction with that character it screws up another characters timeline and interactivity.
