The game itself is comparable to Mario games: You have to run through 3d levels and defeat enemies. You can also roam through known places from the show and talk to your friends. There are also collectibles and unlockable skills. The controls are a little bit weird but “nothing I can’t handle with”. It is probably easier to play with a controller but it still is not hard and very simple. You can also play with a 2nd player. The graphics are not perfect but nothing that would bother a fan. The soundtrack is awesome. It features songs from the show as well as variations and completely new tracks. The game has some weird bugs but nothing serious (e.g. map borders). They are rather funny. I personally think that the game is amazing as it is not bad and the first “real” game based on the show. But I do not think that everybody will love it since it is a very simple and high priced game and requires one’s interest. A true fan should give it a try. The only thing I pity is that the game is only in English (I think) and the dialogue in English and French but not e.g. German. However, this is also no major problem for me as they still did a good job. The game might be simple but I love it. It is alright for casual gaming. What can I say about the game… It’s worth buying it for the collection, or if you are a fan, otherwise the game will probably scare you off with its graphics and high cost, but for a fan, I think it will do. There are a couple of moments in the story that aren’t in the series, as well as a couple of new gameplay elements, such as choosing your answers and meeting up with your friends. Graphics are, of course, the main drawback of this game. But if you are a fan of Miraculous and are ready to play for the story, you can try to endure it – I basically said about the gameplay above, but still I want to add that they at least tried to somehow diversify it.

Without reducing almost everything to banal battles.Music in the game. What I really liked were the familiar songs from the series, as well as completely new tracks created specifically for the game, such as the soundtrack in the game menu. Despite the poor graphics and minor bugs, the game may appeal to fans of the Miraculous universe. It has potential, it’s just that our company – ZAG – is too greedy to give more money to a better project than what we have now. Personally, I was waiting for a similar game, it’s still better than mobile games in the “runner” format. History, co-op with a friend – what else does a Miraculous fan need for fun? I do recommend it if you want something simple and charming within the Miraculous universe. But that’s it. The game lacks sound design as a whole, there seems to be so many missing sound effects and the music weirdly cut off sometimes or resets half way through a track. There could’ve been so much love put into this, but at the end of the day – we have to remember this game was made with children as their target audience. Hopefully one day we will get something much better looking etc. (Or hey, lets hope this game gets many updates in the future to help it grow.) While I do not recommend the game, if you want to play it, that is your money gone. The game has multiple issues, and I am barely 2 akumas in. First of all, the game loads very slowly. The graphics look like someone did it with an old unity version, with no love. The models look like some amature made them, animations are slow and weirdly unrealistic, and that is saying something for a game based of a 3d animated tv series, so you would think it would be better than the show, but even season 1 of Miraculous looks better than this, and that is a low blow. The controls feel slow and unresponsive, and the attacks feel way to responsive. Second, the DLC we can buy, that adds those costumes… Useless. It is JUST for cosmetics, and don’t even work in the cutscenes, which look bad as well, which makes no sense. The voice acting sounds bored.

We have too little voiceacting (once more, I only managed to get to the second akuma and level 2), paris is just an annoying overworld. This game is NOT worth the price at all. I would put the price at maybe 20 to 30 euros/dollars instead of 50 or 65!!! I do NOT recommend this game at all, and hope none of you ever have to play for yourself. IF you are a miraculous fan and absolutely want to play, I won’t stop you, but reconsider 10 times before you press buy. Please. The story could be interesting, but I am not going to spend a lot more time and will instead resort to youtube, which I will suggest you all do too. The game itself presents itself as an adventure – walking around the city. You can talk to people, explore places. That’s just everything is written out there in advance and nothing will change much from your elections anyway. You will just be allowed to move further into the plot and nothing more. I am silent about the graphics, there is nothing to discuss here at all. No comments. The plot wants the best, of course. You’re just fighting over the villains, of which there are 5 pieces.

Next comes Mayura and the final scene with a fight with a Hawk Moth. Poor Monsieur Pigeon has already been so battered that he was even returned to the game. Only the fight with Chloe is interesting, because at least some kind of promoting plot is going on with her. I will write without spoilers. But I’ll just say it. Lady Bug was made helpless again and she starts saying again, “here I am, we will never win,” and the Cat, according to the classics of the genre, saves her with his conversations. Fortunately, Lady Bug herself did not become sad of her own accord. So that’s a plus to the piggy bank in the plot. You can at least run around the city and explore new places in Paris and you can read dialogues with people. Only from the “elections” that will be given to us, nothing will change. So it’s a plus and minutes at the same time. And, of course, the price. I don’t advise you to pay for a thousand for this. My kids love Miraculous, the French superhero action show that has entrenched itself on various kids’ platforms in recent years (I think it is on Disney+ these days, but don’t quote me on that). A few years back, my daughter went as Ladybug and my son as Cat Noir for Halloween hey caused quite a stir among the under-10 set. There were a lot of astonished whispers (Ooh! It’s Ladybug!), as the costumes don’t seem to be too common here in the States. My kids are probably the perfect target audience for Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx, the new video game based on the franchise releasing on consoles and PC next month. I was initially interested upon seeing the announcement, but this trailer gives me pause: I mean, nice cinematics and all, but what do you do in this game? There isn’t one moment of actual gameplay in the trailer, and that makes me more than a little nervous. My kids are pretty sophisticated gamers.
