College Kings Free Download GAMESPACK.NET There already has been a lot of comparisons of College Kings to Being a Dik and I can understand why. Both are visual novels dealing with a college frat theme but there are differences that set them apart. Being a Dik was more focused on the partying aspect but had a rudimentary fighting system while College Kings has some party themes but the frat is more focused on fighting and it has a more in depth real time fighting system that is QTE driven. That being said College Kings could have done more to actually showcase that style as Act 1 had little in the way of fighting although to be fair it is more about setting up the story to come and introducing you to characters. Comparisons aside College Kings was a well done visual novel. There is a good amount of choices you can make; people you can choose to interact with; and some decent lewd scenes. The art is pretty good, about on par with most top tier Ren’Py visual novels with realistic models. The music is decent but a bit repetitive. There are times where things you think would have sound effects don’t and others like driving in a car with your mom has a detailed sound effect including shifting of gears. The fight system is great in that you have to keep an eye on your opponents stance and choose the right move to hit them with as well as decide which area to block. I will say that the timer is really short even on easy mode. The fight system is already under utilized though. This is a mechanic that should have set the game apart from similar titles but is only used a few times depending on your choices. You are also able to skip the fights and auto win them if you aren’t a fan of the mechanic. The characters and plot were enjoyable and had a good range. One thing I liked was that unlike some games in this genre you can’t have it all. If you choose to start dating someone who is big on monogamy then don’t be shocked if being a man whore makes her leave you. Most games wouldn’t deal with that issue and just let you have a harem so this was a refreshing bit of logic. The personality stats were a nice touch in the game.

You can have one of three personality traits assigned to you based on your choices which will effect how people treat you as well as what options you have with certain people. I would have liked it more if we could toggle to see whether a choice effects a certain trait as well as seeing a tally of our totals. I played College Kings on Linux. It never crashed on me and I didn’t notice any spelling issues or bugs. Alt-Tab didn’t work. The game allows you to enable “real life mode” which means no saves allowed during choices if you want a challenge. Otherwise you can manually save whenever you want with it disabled and there are 54 save slots. Your female romance options are pretty much on the edge, so far, in terms of overall game mechanics. We’ll get into character building in a moment, but while they’re all interested in the protagonist on some level, not all of them want the same thing from him. Depending on your choices and personality, some are pretty easy to romance and some aren’t for you. This definitely doesn’t have to be an adult/porn thing. I think it makes perfect sense for romance games to use similar mechanics and update the usual romantic tropes. I also really enjoyed the fact that you can’t just go to bed without others finding out, as this is so grounded in wish fulfillment. A prime example is a girl named Aubrey we met by crashing into the hallway from your dorm room. When we meet him in real clothes, his interest is more of a sneak peek than an open relationship, so he usually invites you to have sex when he can guarantee no one is watching. No matter how careful you are with your connections, someone will find out eventually. I also liked the meta-narrative underlying the game. All you have to do is decide. College is a strange time when students are all adults, but in many ways shielded from all responsibilities of adulthood in the name of education. This means that the decisions made by students are often unimportant and they themselves do not emerge years later.

Sexual Flings.

A psychological exam with one of your romance options, and a well-done dating scene with a college-educated woman we met by chance. Age is something in the game, and the difference between students and adults is the triviality of the choices they make every day. I quite liked this dynamic and how it frames the game both positively and negatively for the cast. Most of the issues you deal with, especially those that lead to sexual escapism, are not serious. There is a freedom in what fuels many nostalgic impulses and youthful worship in popular culture. However, you also enjoy a lot of negativity. Toxic environments that reward negative masculine stereotypes, criminal behavior excused or ignored in favor of a corrupt university code of ethics, and the controversial subconscious of the entire game: sexual harassment and male chauvinism. Problems arise when the protagonist tries to date older women. Clearly, this punk has nothing to offer other than an illicit, momentary thrill to most women outside of his age range.lust academy

Other than the women you meet while shopping, the possible age difference with your teacher and Julia doesn’t help frame their romance.At the core of the story is this inter-fraternity fighting competition, where the protagonist can rise up as the Alpha Male of the university and establish himself. The idea is essentially a Quick Time Event where you recognize an opponent’s defense or offense and react accordingly. The problem is twofold. First, there is no prompt for when to react, so you need to time your action perfectly to record the action.Secondly, this is a 3D Visual Novel, so animation speed and fluidity can be bad sometimes. Stuttering and pauses are okay in other scenes where they portray sex or show the characters going to kiss (although it can be awkward and contrived). Some fights you will hope for the best. It is obvious that the game will improve over time. I wish I could be more positive about this game. But unfortunately, I cant actually review the game because I cant finish the first 3 chapters. A game breaking bug with the in-game social media app halts any possible progress.

I could skip the rest of chapter 2 but whats the point? I guess the music is decent enough at times. Some of the characters are okay. The renders are…above average but they all have squirrel girl teeth. Other 3d games also struggle to render attractive teeth so Im not really gonna fault College Kings for it There’s no getting around it though – there isnt a real reason to play this game when….other, better made, and drastically less buggy college setting games exist. This is an excellent game, but not a perfect or complete game in many aspects. Let me explain. Renders and sex scene wise, this is some of the best 3DCG content out there. The animated scenes are hot, and the build up to them is really solid most of the time. Choices can matter, and you really have to pause sometimes before you make a decision. College Kings nails these two things. The thing holding back college kings from reaching masterpiece status is the unfocused nature of the game. Ideas are routinely introduced and abandoned.

it just feels like that devs routinely say stuff to each other like Dev 1 ” You know what would be hot bro? X ” Dev 2: Fuck yeah bro lets put it in the game.” every scene without connecting the scenes effectively so at times they don’t make any sense. And when they come up with a new idea they just abandon the old one. This game is def. worth playing to get off and for some of the plotlines. Just go in knowing alot of things dont make sense and ideas are all over the place. I feel this games rating is way too low compared to some other games with way less quality and content, so I felt I needed to review this great yet unperfect game. Finally a word about the game “engine”. It’s renpy, of course, which is a good thing, but that’s not what I’m referring to. I’ve read quite a few people here complaining about “pure VNs”, citing that they aren’t really games, and there’s some truth to this. In a choice and consequence based game, part of the appeal is to see the other side of the story offered by other perspectives. which are opened by taking different choices.

Exploring these “alternate timelines” requires replaying a lot of already-seen content and retreading a lot of familiar ground, though, and that’s where renpys Skip mode (a staple of VN games long before renpy, of course) is a godsend. So if you “enhance” your VN with “gameplay” such as a mobile phone with apps, free-roam or minigames, you violently interrupt this “flow” of replaying the game. The player is forced to go through the same boring motions each time. And who wants to do that, especially when a game has so much raw-content volume as this one? There CAN be too much of a good thing. And that’s why I can’t give a higher score. With some games, it’s very easy to point at something and say: in this area, this one sucks, but that’s not really the case here. There’s nothing REALLY bad about College Kings. But it’s not REALLY good, either. Once again, it’s like a (somewhat average) soap opera.
