I’ve waited for this game since it’s trailers were first shown. 4 hours in and I find it beautiful: Love ’em. I actually relate to the Director, Meguriya, to a degree that’s hard to put into words, as I am obsessed with Mystery Adventures (98% of what I play), so works like this, Root; Film, Death Mark, and Paranormasight are my alley. I’ve also listened to slo (genuinely) Creepypastas lol since early 2000s Jeff the Killer days, and he’s like my infatuation with those things put into a character. I like that Jasmine comes off like a hardass but grew on me quick, and despite seeing straightforward, presents herself to have more depth. The Protagonist is a good, but charmingly honest, and the other characters I’ve met outside the trio have layers to them I didn’t expect, so the

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲’𝐬 a blast so far by virtue of that. There’s times where you’re waiting for the Protagonist to catchup, to moments where I was genuinely surprised at an outcome or escalation, after almost expecting things to not go as far. You can tell this is the type of game where each case is a hint at a larger picture and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love mysteries like that, rather than just only random cases, which thankfully, is the more common direction in narratives with serious themes. 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲: Fun as hell and hitting higher phases within a case feels satisfying. I like how the game let’s me explore different things at my own pace, rather than holding my hand throughout exploration, even if the Protag can be occasionally naive (but not to a degree that drags). I remember the Demo sorta stalling a little at times (as someone who loves games with a lot of text) but I think they might’ve cleaned some of that up? I’ve only spotted one occurrence, where you find out what’s going in EP 1 and the Protag goes “I should alert the others!”, the scene ends, and first thing she says is the same thing. Haha was silly but whatever.  Goes crazy. It has tracks that are subtly creepy, that even blend in well when there’s silly moments, then things switch to sinister quick and I love that.
