AOD still doesn’t quite work properly. Needs more tuning. Review might have minor spoilers but I feel it’s necessary in order to explain where a bug is triggered. For example:The tutorial level has a bug on the drain pipe in the restored section. Lara wouldn’t climb off the drain pipe to the left side, but she would climb to the right. Sometimes Lara wouldn’t do neither. This is with both modern and tank controls. Dying on purpose to force the level to reload fixed the problem. There’s a wall Lara must climb to progress. Lara will begin to climb, but seems to get stuck and won’t climb any higher as if there was an invisible wall in the way. I died to force the game to reload, and then miraculously she was able to climb the wall as expected. This is also with both modern and tank controls. This happened in the archaeological dig site. Lara’s auto ledge grab is inconsistent. I encountered this bug quite frequently throughout my play time. Guns of Fury

Another great remaster from Asypr/Saber, this time for the second trilogy of the Core Design TR classics. TR 4-6 are a bit more experimental than the first games. TR 4 is probably the longest and most complex entry in the series, with some complex hubs and backtracking between levels and a huge focus on actual tomb raiding. TR5 is much shorter in comparison, with different short stories from various parts of Lara’s life that all focus on different gameplay aspects, from classic tomb raiding to all-out action, horror, puzzle-solving and stealth. TR6 introduces some RPG elements and puts larger focus on story, it mostly takes place in urban settings and was famously buggy and incomplete in its initial release (most of which has been improved/fixed now, insofar it was possible in the scope of a remaster). All these games have their quirks and warts, but there’s still lots of fun to be had with this set. If you are a newcomer and didn’t play TR 1-3 Remastered yet, I’d suggest getting that first. All considered they are the better, more complete games and show what classic Tomb Raider is all about. But if you already played the classics and are hungry for more, or have an appetite for the weirder and more controversial entries in the series, you cannot go wrong with this collection.
