Ranch Simulator Free Download GAMESPACK.NET Ranch Simulator is a simulation game where you run your own ranch in a remote forested valley. Developed by Toxic Dog and published by Excalibur Games, Ranch Simulator released on Steam Early Access in March this year and has been steadily updated since. In July they revamped the building system so that players could freely build structures without being restricted to set blueprints. The most recent update at the end of August added the ability to purchase, ride and train horses. This is what piqued my interest and so far, this is one of the better early access experiences I’ve had in terms of how well the game runs and looks. In Ranch Simulator, you will experience life owning and maintaining your own ranch. It was once your grandfather’s pride-and-joy, but your family ranch has fallen on hard times and it’s up to you to turn things around. You start the game by creating your character, and I was surprised at the customisation options as they are quite detailed for a simulation game like this. I’ve been watching a bit too much Yellowstone lately (but how bloody good is it?). The tutorial then commences where you’re directed to a broken wooden shack which has a letter on a table. The letter was left behind by your grandfather and it states the family ranch is now yours. It’s desolate and run down, but we’re free to do with it as we please. After you head to the homestead and collect some money and a revolver from a chest in the attic, another letter explains that we can use the revolver to kill wild animals and we’ll need to repair an old UTV in the garage, otherwise we’re free to do as we please. The level of detail in the grass, wooden walls of the houses, mountains in the background and the lighting is really well done, and it helped me lose myself in getting tasks completed. The way the sun slowly fell into the mountains casting shards of lights and shadows on the walls of the shed and barn were brilliant. Every so often it would rain and there’d be mist in the background, with a flash of lightning illuminating the gloomy clouds, followed by the clap of thunder rolling through the valley. The sound design is spot on and even down to the saw mill sounding authentic, really immersed you in the sounds of a working ranch.

Running back to the garage, you need to pick up tyres spread around the area and install them, as well as the seats, bumper guard and fuel tank. Next you need to drive to the Gas Station. You can open the game’s map and place a waypoint, then either follow the roads or do what I do and go bush bashing. I had bought in my brother-in-law Justin for some co-op and I crashed the UTV on the first hill – hilarious. Thankfully he’d been playing the game for several hours and learned if you turn the wheels to the side you’ve flipped onto and accelerate, the UTV will bump up and right itself. Sure enough up we went and a few more flips later, we got to the Gas Station. You need to take the hose out of the bowser and place it into the fuel can. The pump doesn’t start automatically so you need to press E on the pump and it fills the can. Move the hose from the can to the UTV’s tank, fill that up, and we were then sent to the real estate agent.Over at the hardware store we bought an axe, crowbar and a cheap table saw. There are things like a drivable lawnmower, small trailer, meat grinders and heaps of other useful things. Once you’ve added them to the cart and purchased them, they are placed outside on a sale area which is where we parked the UTV. The axe and crowbar are put straight into your inventory, but bulky things like the table saw need to pick up and placed manually into the tray of the UTV. Starting the game was fun. While the tutorial sets you up with how to play the game, it didn’t feel laborious at all. In fact, I found it taught you the basics without placing too many restrictions on what you can interact with. The initial questline takes around 10 minutes to complete and is an essential part of understanding where things are (like the shops), and how to get started on rebuilding your ranch. Without giving too much away, your first task is to build your vehicle so that you can travel around the vast map. This part of the quest teaches you how to pick up objects and place them, which seemed fairly intuitive. The controls were a little tricky to get used to (more so because of the types of games I play), but it wasn’t difficult to get to grips with.

Rebuild Your Ranch.

When you’re in the game, simply navigate to the main menu by pressing the ESC key. Here you’ll see the option to Invite Friend which will launch the Steam Friends pop-up. Once you’ve selected a friend to invite, they’ll get a notification on their Steam account to join you. Once your friends accept your invite, they’ll join your game and you’ll be able to work on quests together. For example, if you need to place 4 wheels on your vehicle, you can all pick up the required objects to work towards the same goal.When you’re ready to take on more than just managing your farm, you can go out on the hunt. The open-world environment was a joy to explore, with plenty of wildlife to admire. Be careful though, as it’s not all fun and games – there are bears out there, so you’ll need to take your trusty (I mean, rusty) rifle to protect yourself. Ranch Sim was a pleasant surprise and a welcome one at a time where great simulation games are lacking. I must admit, I had way more fun playing Ranch Simulator than I initially imagined. You could easily sink a good few hours into making your chicken coops and barns. If you’re playing on your own, be prepared for the long haul. While there’s plenty of potential left to unlock, I very much hope that Ranch Simulator Early Access continues to receive regular updates and offer more gameplay in the future. Ranch Simulator is a more simple simulation open-world world game that focuses on running a Ranch. Farming sims are common and popular, so it was nice to see one solely focusing on raising animals. This is a title in early access, but my experience felt limited but not incomplete. The addition to online co-op makes it a nicer experience if you had someone to play it with. The gameplay is what you expect as you raise animals and sell the goods you produce. You start on an abandoned and rundown ranch you inherited from your grandfather. After a quick creator, you are given a tutorial on picking up, placing, and interacting with objects. There is no inventory system in the game. Besides the radial menu that allows you to build, demolish, weapon, and open hand. All other options require the player to pick up and take that object where it needs to go. This includes workstations like the table saw. You will have to place the table, fuel it with your jerry can; with the fuel, you fill it from the gas station.

Head Out on the Hunt.

You will cut trees and place the logs on the saw to be processed, and then you can take the planks to the barn or other project you are trying to build. Items you need to take to the market or bought from the market have to be put in the back of your vehicle. You start with a simple utility vehicle that did everything I needed to do in the game without worry, including going to the store. Other vehicles can be bought that can have more extensive storage. Starting can be slow as you only have a couple of chickens from the tutorial. The player can hunt with the wild animals for meat to sell though it can be odd it’s just a large revolver; it does work. This is an example of the current simplicity in early access, but it works. The stores have an area where you park or have items within that zone, and they will show up to be sold at the kiosks within each store. Funds are shared on the ranch but are large enough for multiple people to do what they need to on the ranch. Though I would argue the game works best as everyone works together with tasks. You don’t need to work on things like sleep or eating, but the night gets too dark to do anything.

The game in the current form doesn’t have many light options to build on your ranch, and the flashlight isn’t the best. You can build anywhere on your ranch, and they give you a nice flat area to build how you wish. Once you demolish the ruined buildings and trash, you have a spot to do all you want. The most useful reason you want to build is to have some area for your cows, chickens, or pigs to be in. If not fenced in, they wander out. It can be annoying as animals seem to be drawn to open gates and doors. This was the most annoying part of the game. There will be quests to complete for money, but at the time, there isn’t much more to the game or any big goals. You can take extra steps with cows or pigs to further profit. With milk, you can craft cheese, and with pigs, you can make and age sausages. This was the most enjoyable part to me as I got the most from my labor and work. It felt the most complete part. Some objects the player can buy felt more useless, like telling if eggs are fertilized or not as the hen would attack you if you picked it up, but you have to pick it up to use the object. Some objects require control inputs to use, like the meat grinder and well.

You have to rotate the mouse in a circle to complete it. I didn’t love or hate the addition but was happy to get the more expensive options where I didn’t have to. The game is soon releasing horses and has plans to add more across all parts of the game.Aesthetics is the second most significant weakness of this game other than the overly simple early access gameplay. The look seems dated and simple, with an empty world and few spots feeling vacant other than a store terminal. The few people in the world are just in the stores standing still doing nothing. Animations are just as simple. There are simple sound effects with stock music on the radio in your car. Outside that, there is no music. The weather holds no issues or bonuses for the player. The silver line is there are few bugs with a simplicity that allowed me to understand and continue with what the game did have. Mixing that with a smooth-running game provides for an ok experience.Farming Simulator 22
