Meow Motors Free Download GAMESPACK.NET When it comes to kart racers, no one does it quite like Mario. In fact, the only real (recent) contenders for our favorite plumber in this field is that of our favorite hedgehog and our favorite bandicoot. This year alone, we’ve been spoiled for choice; between Team Sonic Racing and Crash Team Racing. Now however, we’ve got a new kid on the block to look to; Meow Motors. The question is, does Meow Motors have what it takes to stand with the greatest of its kind? Sadly, due to some glaring drawbacks, it doesn’t meet the same high. In terms of quality and depth, Meow Motors sits very much inline with the likes of Beach Buggy Racing, being that it’s short, fun, but hardly all that compelling. There’s not much of a story present mind. Players are introduced to the game’s colorful cast of characters, in which the lead role, a small kitten named Rocky, is gearing up to race against his peers. Things take a turn for the worst when Rocky, mid-race, is incapacitated and then scoffed at by his primary antagonist, Master Duke, and from there on out, it’s a battle for supremacy.TOP/BEST ADULT VIDEO GAMES IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA)

The crux of plays sees you working through a collection of championships as you move towards dethroning Master Duke as king of the track. The game’s career sports ten in total, with each championship housing a set number of races within. You’ll earn a total of three stars per-race, depending on your performance. These stars will collectively add up, and as such, will unlock new championships, new power-ups, new characters, and new vehicles as a result. In regards to new characters and new vehicles, they all handle the same throughout. Sure, new characters house some specific bonuses, such as Lucky being able to drive on the wayside without a speed penalty, or Blake’s ability to use Nitro more sparingly, but outside of that, and the ability to change a vehicle’s color, it’s all rather samey-samey. It would have been nice to see some more depth on this front, simply due to how robust the game’s contemporaries are, but, beggars cant be choosers, right? Nevertheless, that’s the framework of progression; race to earn stars, use stars to unlock content, and rinse and repeat. Done. There’s three types of races to take to; race, drift, and strike. Race is your straightforward position race, being that all you need to do is make it to the finish line in the top position.

Dynamic gameplay that has three different modes: circle races, drifts and ‘strike’ mode.

Drift is fairly self explanatory. Here, you’ll be given a set time, and within that time frame, you’ll need to drift as much as you can to earn the required amount of points. Strike is somewhat more direct, being that here, it’s all-out free for all. The primary objective being that you just need to blast your opponents to smithereens. That’s really all there is to it. The thing that I enjoy most in kart racers is the tracks and Meow Motors doesn’t disappoint in this regard. They’re vibrant and intricate with many twists and turns as well as shortcuts and hazards to keep you entertained. Holiday themes such as Christmas and Halloween make an appearance, too, and there are tracks based on autumn scenery, medieval towns, and many more. A ton of care has gone into making these tracks jump off the screen; I dare say even more so than some Mario Kart tracks; excluding those that venture into flying and underwater driving as these are sadly not included in this indie title. It’s also fun unlocking new cats to play as with each one having their own personality yet they all look equally adorable when they do a little dance in their car after winning a race. The cars have plenty of variety and you can change their colour if you like. However, there are no stats presented about how the cars handle and I didn’t notice any differences between them.Strife Veteran Edition Switch NSP

It would have been great to see some extra customization options available but getting to choose from 10 is still appreciated and adds to the fun of unlocking everything. The racing is pretty tight although not as refined as some AAA racing games. You’ll feel like you’re sliding every now and then like you don’t have complete control of the vehicle but overall, it doesn’t detract from the fun to be had. Other than the simple racing levels, there are also drift and strike levels. In drift, you must drift for as long as you can to rack up points while trying to maintain your multiplier as you avoid hazards. In strike, you get points for taking out your opponents with an item or a well-aimed boost into their rear end. All three modes are fun to play but drift gets a little dull seeing as it only lasts a couple of minutes and you’re the only one on the track the whole time. However, I still applaud the developer for including a few different ways to enjoy their tracks. Items can give you abilities such as a freeze gun, a shockwave, or a major boost. One thing that bugged me a little was the fact that the items don’t seem to have any impact on the scenery itself. If I have a shield, I would expect that bumping into a boulder would mean that I wouldn’t get hurt but I do. The same goes for shooting a projectile at a road hazard as it doesn’t seem to affect anything other than your opponents. If you could use items in these ways, it would provide another welcome layer of strategy.

20 different tracks where kitties will compete.

Probably the greatest strength of Meow Motors is also its only obvious weakness: it’s a by-the-numbers kart racer in virtually every way — but that’s okay. From boosting at the starting line to drifting hard around corners, hitting competitors with power-ups and racing across every speed boost on the track, Meow Motors is not unlike most other kart racers you’ve already played, but that doesn’t mean it’s totally without anything uniquely special. At the forefront is the roster fully filled out by felines. A family game comprised entirely of cute cats and kittens seems like a smart move, and each of the characters has their own style and special passive ability. Alongside those characters, players can also mix and match about a dozen different vehicles, from modern race cars to old-fashioned muscle cars. Customization only goes as deep as a car’s color, but the younger audience for which Meow Motors is designed will find more mileage in that simple approach. Racing would have to hold up to keep Meow Motors worthwhile, as that’s what often sinks the lesser releases in the kart racer field. Luckily, Meow Motors is reliable and a lot of fun. Plus it maintains the strongest sense of accessibility of any 2019 kart racer. While Team Sonic Racing’s difficulty curve leaves some players in the dust and Crash Team Racing’s control scheme was strangely left suboptimal for its remaster, Meow Motors offers difficulties that are more fairly implemented so that any player can feel like a champion. Track and weapon variety are, like the project as a whole, pretty standard but again remain enjoyable. Tracks come in about eight different aesthetics, and each of them offers multiple maps like beaches, haunted houses, or lava pits. It’s the stuff of a child’s imagination and that’s exactly how it should feel. Power-ups unlock over the course of the game’s story mode, so while there are very few early in the game, by the end there are plenty, leaving the strategy up to players. The usual suspects are all there. Missiles to fire ahead, oils to spill behind, etc. Time after time, Meow Motors proves to be familiar, but that goes for its design and fun factor alike. You will take to the track and play as one of a dozen colorful cats memorable for their different characteristics and unique personalities. Overcome various difficulties of the tracks drifting through mines and bombs, stop and slow down your competitors by blasting them with bubble gum and other astonishing weapons.

10 power-ups with unique effects to defeat your competitors.

And don’t forget to gather power-ups along the way if you want to be the fastest driver on the track! Tracks consist of three different modes: circle races, drifts and ‘strike’ mode. In order to win you should take advantage of power-ups, combining them with your skills to use the stored energy. The game is played via a storyline campaign and local multiplayer mode (Split-screen game) allowing you to play with up to 4 people on one device. In addition to regular racing, there are also battle and drift modes. The battle mode is the most fun because it remains an A to B race, unlike Mario Kart’s mode of the same name, but it totally changes the way you play. It’s more like a destruction derby, and the mode gets better as you go along because more power-ups keep getting added to the field. Drift mode is a fun score attack mode, though we found some of the instructions in this mode to be a bit unclear. Most of the time, we preferred racing or battling. Most importantly for families, there’s the ability to play with up to four players in splitscreen, which all great arcade racers should offer.

The barebones comic-style story and some translation errors definitely make it hard to forget Meow Motors was made on a fractional budget compared to its counterparts, but we found both of those issues mostly forgivable. Really, since it’s our favorite kart racer of the year, it’s more admirable for Meow Motors to have done more with less like that. Other than boulders, logs, giant stone monsters, and swinging rocks, you also have to avoid oil that’s spilled on the road. When you do tricks such as drifting, you amass energy that you can spend on either a boost or some oil. If you’re far ahead of your opponents, you might want to focus on using oil so that you can slow down those behind you. I quite enjoyed this mechanic and often found myself trying to decide whether to use boost or oil, especially in the strike matches. The oil is very detrimental to the control of your vehicle as it forces you to keep sliding until you clear the patch. It must be avoided at all cost! Another aspect of Meow Motors is the repair system. Your vehicle gets damaged every time you’re hit, causing you to slow down slightly. In strike levels, if you destroy your vehicle, you also lose a point. In order to repair your vehicle, you must drive into a wrench.

They’re sparse enough that you’ll often find yourself wishing for the next one soon then cursing if you accidentally miss it. The game spreads these race types across several championships, with each championship tasking you with taking on said race types across numerous tracks. When all is said and done, the game will probably take little more than a few hours to complete. Past that, a Quick Race mode enables you and up to four (local) players to take to the fields of play, bolstering its replay value to a small degree. There’s certainly fun to be had here, but amidst its repetition and its lack of diversity, it can all come off as fairly stale before too long. What I will say, on the other hand, is that this is a wonderful racer for those of a very young age to sink into. The game’s handling is very easy to adapt to. Steering it achieved via the left stick, with brake and acceleration tethered to LT and RT, respectively. New features are unlocked as progression is made, such as being able to drop slippery oil (Y button), boost using nitro (X button) and supercharge your pick-up weapons (A button). Players can also drift (B button), and should you get stuck in the terrain, you can reset your vehicle via RB.Motherless
