Enemies in this game are very scary and player has less time to shoot them. Into the dark have amazing game play and scary background music. When enemy hit the player you will see blood in the screen. When the player die the game will return back to the desktop. Insane amount of heroes and pets to choose from, with persistent stats. Random or fixed dungeons. Choice of realistic, painted, or cartoon graphics. Plus a 16 level ( devious ) campaign. There’s even an editor. It also reminds me so much of a game that I loved on the 3do called, ‘Slayer.’ It almost feels like a spiritual successor. Solid dungeon delving in it’s purest form, and well worth the price. This is a bare bones dungeon crawl. Nice graphics and game play. I really like the build editor to make your own maps. This is an awesome game for young beginner to get in to RPG. Would like to see the ability for you to select which monster generate and be able to select which weapons and their levels generate.

Cant wait to see what comes from the different updates as time passes. two thumbs up and counting!This game is really enjoyable to me, Killing various type of monster and move around in deep dark environment for looting stuff are both satisfying. Art and graphic quality are very good. There are many way to fight monster in the dark. You guy should buy it and play whenever you feel stress and need something to explore because of the game random map feature!what drew me to pickup and try this game was the huge variety of characters to play. there are allot. it kind of adds lots of replay value to it since each character keeps their levels same with all the pets. the combat is very flat and boring as every weapon works the same, and ur forced to dual wield the whole game because a shield will end up with u getting hit more often then u hitting the enemy. theres the hand made dungeon campaign thats always the same, or u can choose to randomly generate a dungeon or even choose what kind of dungeon ur going in. I found no explanation on how to use bombs and figured out when you pause you can move the mouse down to click on the bombs to use them, only way i know so far as the number keys do nothing but spells. overall im enjoying the game, but what really sells me on it is the large variety of characters to play (all of which have no indication as to what their stats or specifics are until you play them. For example i played a succubus and had no magic so i couldnt shoot, tried an elf and start with 10 magic and 10 less strength) the large variety of pets is also interesting, but they are entirely useless unless constantly used to level them up (i have yet to see my pet kill 1 enemy by themselves). Overall i recommend the game if you like old dungeon crawlers and playing as whatever you want, I hope the game is still in development and can work on their melee mechanics to make them more entertaining and customizable.

There are 3 graphics modes to choose at the start. when you choose 1, it limmits the amount of characters you can play as based on that graphics mode, if you go into the options and change it to all 3 graphics modes at once, you get the full list of characters and all the enemies cartoony or realistic at the same time.If you like old school dungeon crawls. Boy is this game for you. A lot of content . Many diffrent creatures, items, spells, dungeon themes, pets, characters. There is a shop in between dungeon runs and your character keeps his or her stats ! Needs polish but an excellent start. Has VR which is not bad at all , but also needs some work. Really nice graphics too. Well worth the price. In its current state. Cant wait to see what the future holds for this gem of a game. Great developer. That wants to solve problems. There’s no plot, no dialogue – you just drop your character and pet into a dungeon and kill everything and loot. It is not complex, everything is kind of bare-bones and simplistic. But incredibly fun, if that sort of thing appeals to you. How complex were the early games in this genre like Quake or Hexen/Heretic? Not very, but extremely fun regardless. Don’t go into this looking for advanced character development or min/max builds or finding a Legendary set of armor. Go into it looking for visceral thrills and simple fun that takes you back.  For me, the overall feel. Simple dungeon hack n slash. Simple combat, simple loot and inventory, simple fun. The art design and models are IMO fantastic, and perfect for this style of game. Everything has personality, and I find surprises that make me smile, every time I play through. You’ll see classic fantasy tropes, things clearly inspired by films and other games, and plenty of original content. I saw a lot of surprises, and enjoyed them all.  Selection of starting characters and pets. You want to play as a minotaur with a mini-dragon side-kick? An elephant humanoid with a frog? An orc with a raccoon?

Magic Spells.

A wizard with a Doberman Pinscher? Yep to all of those, and so much more. The dungeon editor. I didn’t love the pre-packaged dungeon (no offense to the designer – there are a lot of pressure plate and teleporter puzzles, which just aren’t my thing). But in 25 minutes I had designed a really entertaining little dungeon with secret doors, traps, chests with treasure. And when I went back to edit it later, I discovered all sorts of neat tricks like linking wall switches to unlocking hidden doors, selecting what kind of monsters you want where, how good the loot in a chest is, etc.,. I plan on replicating some old pen & paper modules with this. t could definitely use a little more helpful documentation in terms of figuring out some mechanics, and details of the editor. (Note to designer – I’d be happy to work on one if you’re interested, and post it in forum)  For those looking for great combat mechanics, this isn’t a complicated game. It is literally hack n slash. Generally speaking, put your 2 best weapons in either hand and hack away. If you’re going with a caster, just be sure to understand spell selection and cooldown.

The dungeon it comes with is a nice teaser, and it’s a good sampler of what you can do with the editor, but it does rely on puzzles. Just download a dungeon from the community, or better yet, make your own! Character customization, maybe? There are dozens and dozens of start-up characters to choose from, some leaning more into melee, or magic, or ranged. I haven’t developed a character far enough to know whether it’s feasible to give a melee-character some magic points. It would be nice to pick an orc (melee-strong by default) but start him out with lowered strength and a few points in magic for Heal, for instance.   Mine keeps trying to force its way into my VR, and I haven’t found a way to make that great, yet. (Although if there is a way to make it run smoothly in full 3d VR, that would be epic and awesome!) Meanwhile, it’s a little bit of a pain to quit and disable VR fully, just to have the game run on my monitor.  It’s a labor of love from an indie developer. Don’t expect an epic RPG or advanced AAA system of combat.  Tailor your expectations to what the game offers.

IMO, to get the most out of this game, you should be willing to work with the dungeon editor (which, again, is a breeze and very rewarding) or try out what other players have uploaded, which is always going to be a mixed bag. If you’re just looking for a 100% pre-made game, you might be disappointed. I personally love the game-style for what it is, and the art direction, the variety both of enemies and start-up characters/pets.This game is so exciting, the quality is very high. Graphics are shiny and sounds immersive. Monsters are scary, but not too much. Pets that come along with us are so cute. There are many choices to play, different kind of dungeons, caves, pyramids, and so many heroes – we can be who we want to be, an elf, a dwarf, even an orc. After playing a while, the hero becomes powerful and can use a lot of magic spells. There are monsters jumping out of coffins, I like the game so much!Tailor your expectations to what the game offers. Check out the Steam videos and screenshots.
