There’s a grenade that sends everything caught in it to Xen and spits out weird Xen monsters in exchange. You can command teams of Combine, deploy manhack drones, and generally act like a person who sold their entire species out for some alien overlord perks. Entropy: Zero 2 is a sequel, technically, to Breadman’s solo mod Entropy: Zero, one of the best-received and better HL2 mods of all time. This one’s on a whole other scale compared to that first one, with a bigger team and a much bigger scope. I mean they made it so you could drive those APCs from Half-Life 2. I love it.

It’s the best mod I’ve ever played, and if it was part of the main series, I would consider it one of the best games in the franchise. An absolute must-play for a half-life fan. Pleasantly surprised it’s a free mod, really well done story and it’s tied together nicely with canon lore from hl2. Haven’t found any bugs on my run, and this thing can run on a potato like HL2 did. Gameplay wise, they added the use of the mines to breach rooms, gave some rebels gravity gun jetpacks as well as friendly turrets and hacksaws, as well as some added stuff like the temporal displacement fields or xen grenades had a lot of fun with it. It’s as close as we are gonna get to knowing what hell was the matter with borealis around HL2: EP2.Mainly leaving this review for the fact that I wanna give a thanks to the team behind this game. As well also mentioning that even through my 9 hours of playtime and having played Entropy: Zero 1. This been a big step up from it’s previous tittle. After finishing the main campaign it’s been a blast to play. Even though this have been a completely free experience to get without having to pay 60 bucks as for most other triple-A tittles. I wouldn’t mind paying for it. As to also comment for the story It’s been quite enjoyable to follow along especially after the events of the first one. I will also say that the few memes/jokes in this been giving me a good few laughs here and there. (Especially the part where you’re given an empty 357 magnum and of course spamming the locked door behind because of course you would want that ammo for it.) I heavily recommend anyone who are just a fan of the Half-Life serie as a whole or a casual enjoyer of it to give this one a go. I would also heavily recommend playing the first Entropy: Zero as well for a full story to go along with it. May the dev team behind this have a good one and may you all enjoy the bad cop experience.I don’t recall having this much fun while playing the original Half Life games. Such a marvelous masterpiece, people are probably going to laugh at me for this, but… This is the best Half Life game for me. The modder Breadman is not an unknown name in the Half-Life community. With Entropy: Zero he created a rather short but incredibly good prequel story for Half-Life 2 five years ago . For the second part he has now got modder support – and the result is impressive. Of almost 2,000 reviews so far, a whopping 98 percent have been positive.

This is an incredible Half-Life 2 story! Entropy:Zero 2 is a ton of fun and would absolutely work as a standalone game. The story is unique and interesting throughout with awesome voice acting and characters as well as new gameplay mechanics. I seriously recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the HL2 games if you’re looking for a new, awesome perspective on the events of Episode 2. Aside from a couple minor performance issues (which may be unique to my PC), you feel like you’re playing a Valve game not a free mod.
