Arch Legends Free Download GAMESPACK.NET It is a fast (45-90 min) point allowance war eurogame with historical and/or legendary units fighting in different thematic scenarios or open battles in a modular board with 3D sceneries. A flexible game system which aims to provide very different game experiences. Players choose among limited and different options to activate their heroes and troops on the battlefield. The goal is to achieve your scenario specific objectives before your opponent(s). Comparing to other wargames (e.g. Warhammer, Eclipse), in ToL:JoA there is also a narrative aspect. Heroes interact with neutral characters on the map, and may evolve (e.g. by gaining experience). One of the first thing which could surprise you is the amount and variety of miniatures (heroes, troops and scenaries) you have just in the Kickstarter core box (see also the Content Manager File). I find the legendary scale particularly convenient, especially for buildings and big creatures. It allows to have all the miniatures in the same scale while ranging from a small dog to a a legendary dragon (like Smaug in “The Hobbit”). The downside is that the miniatures of course contain less details than in larger scale (e.g. 25mm). Still the level of details seem quite high comparing to other 16mm miniatures I have previously seen (e.g. Runewars). I was a bit concerned about painting such small miniatures but a total beginner like my wife has enjoyed the process too. Of course the experience and time you put on it can make the difference but I think beginner painters may achieve good results you will appreciate when playing (check also painting tips for ToL:JoA).
